Hello Everyone!! Well its time! We just got back from doing a 3700 mile trip and I figure we’d call this one part 2. We have maximised our 2 up travels now with the trailer and life is good!! We rode WA, ID, MT, and UT this trip and had a wonderful time. I’ll get to posting all the beauty in next coming days and get this started! Cheers! Haha!! Yeah Todd part of what your saying is true. The first part of this story was back dated and I needed to catch it up. We had the Concours andit served us well. When we where in San Diego with my cousins early on with that bike we always seemed to go to San Diego BMW. They boyh have GS’s. While we where there I saw they had a low mile Yellow one for sale. Figured maybe just maybe we’d finish up our Concours trip on that? Well it wasnt meant to be...it was sold and as usual they didnt update their website. Time went on after we where home and I saw the Yamaha Tenere’. Was on a trip down to Oregon and stopped at Power Motorsports. Rode it along with the 1190 KTM. Felt to small and underpowered for us. They prepped a 1290R for us and it was instant love! OMG!! So I guess thats what happens. Never ever thought about a KTM and then it happened. Found the “T” model we have and never looked back. Damn right!!! Something about that 160hp seems to grab you and suck you in! And whats weird is I did the @guglemonster upgrades to the fuel filtration system and it runs even better!! Flawless crispy power. We slabbed alot this trip and being able to rip 85-90 mph was awesome!! Stay tuned for all the details...i’ll get working on it.

Damn right old friend!!! Had to get this one in. Hopefully we’ll be moving east of the Mountains this year so we burned up our first vacation getting er done! Have the NorthCascades event coming up June 15th but after that its time to get serious. BTW...UTAH does have high alchohol beer available now. Just not in regular stores or on tap. Moab brewary would sell great stuff to go no problemo! Thank God!

Howdy!! I’ll start out by explaining what the hell we haul. Haha!
MAY 1 - packing up the gear.

TANK BAG: 2 small pelicans, one with Olympus 4k video camera and acc. The other with power cords to charge headsets, phones, camera etc. Also my Coast gaurd work credentials etc (I lose them I dont work), Map of the state we are in, eye glasses, wallet, Swiss army knife, junk.
ORANGE AMMO BOXES: Those are for our clothes(his and hers) and a pair of flip flops in each. Clothes in compression sacks.
SMALL GIANT LOOP BAGS on crash bars: trailer tube, bike rear tire tube, zip ties, electrical tape, extra trailer bearings, odds and ends 48D6F74F-AF24-4DA0-9A4A-F4434612C52E.jpeg TOP BOX: gallon of water, expando cups, treats, trail mix, pelican with stash o smokes, copenhagen, box has water boiling can, propane and burner ass., batteries, utensil set, tide pods, dish soap, baking soda(for heartburn), OFF insect repellant, nick nacks and not in there yet..toiletries and compact hair drier! 4EB7F1C6-72EF-48B3-A8CD-D04B58972892.jpeg KIP MOTO SherpaX trailer: 1 cheap lightweight small tent, 1 stand up KELTY Camping Cabin tent, 2 down comforters in small drybags(one with a sheet and pillow covers), 2 homemade pillows made from memory foam(packs small), 2 lightweight cots, 1 large rain fly, 3 taller bottles of propane(green ones), 1 Mr Heater cooker/heater combo, first aid kit, super tool roll, hammer, french press, bottle o creamer, floor mat for tent ( some lightweight material) 1 chair
OUTSIDE OF TRAILER: Left side has old fire hose piece with small tent poles, tool roll with various large small stakes, parachute cord, rope, extra adjustable tent cords etc. Right side has large tent poles, and 2 8foot rainfly poles. (Now that bag also has ten bottles of airline FIREBALL bottles..haha! Then we have the 2 small ammo boxes at the rear. One with engine oil, chain lube and Plexus. The other with locktite, moly grease, voltmeter, chain tool, tire plugs, tire pump, combo lock, propane torch end, silicone, epoxy kit. Sure i’m forgetting zumzing? Hahaha! 7BF9E128-263C-40D0-8F01-21C5AAE8C79F.jpeg Ok so you want to know what it all weighs eh? We rode across a scale and figured it to be 830 pounds! Oh and I almost forgot...the crate was a last minute thought. After this trip I will cut off some height. Blocked the tailight on the bike the whole trip! Figured we’d set the collaspable cooler in there so we can stop at store before camp and grab milk, beer, ice and some kinda chocolate treat! Well then came some Frog Toggs rain gear in a dry bag stuffed in there too. And the large flat dry bag under the crate is our moto pants and summer gloves.(not visable in this pic) You see we roll with our leather pants on the hwy cause we have them and they are comfy! Plus you know me ... leather leather leather!! Ha! (Under them we do wear moto knee/shin guards) OK...you get the idea! NEXT..

So off we went headed East on I 90. Next destination would be Butte MT for the night. When you first get on the MT highways you need to get used to cracking the throttle harder. I usually need to give the cramp buster a repositioning to make my hand comfortable at 85-90 mph. 6C0BADAD-A63C-4C15-9018-8C97B3ABFC11.jpeg Us at a rest stop with the snow still lingering in the background. 6A0AFB30-4C58-4851-810C-FCDFD0E1ADFA.jpeg We always stop at St Regis. We either eat at the Restaurant there or today we stopped and swilled down a IPA at “The Talking Bird Saloon” B82F6AA2-377E-4F71-A6A8-78F12AFD5E58.jpeg Pretty much blazed right past One of favorite exits “Patty creek road” and right on by Missoula. Butte has a beauty of its own even though the number of mines is overwhelming. These black towers can be seen all over the place and at night they have them lite in red colors. We rode up onto this bluff overlooking the town and the views are sweet! 77E16497-996C-4DFC-A89E-0B5A116132A0.jpeg 988B01DC-057D-4DB7-B600-9842E33BD855.jpeg 3573E154-BBDB-494C-8D6E-D88C470170A2.jpeg 14BE8A2E-8AC5-4C03-85DE-8DA147412AC1.jpeg

Well I need to back track to a couple things. On our way to Butte we did stop in Missoula for gas. I filled up the tank for a total of 8 1/2 gallons. We where kinda hungry so I asked a local of a good place. He directed us to a place down the street so we rode down and spotted it. I rode past the place looking for a good spot to park the bike and keep an eye on it. As I turned around and was getting ready to go right I spotted an Irish bar with outdoor seating called Thomas Meagher Bar. Well go right, look left...uhhh ohhhhh....”put your leg out Honey!!!” Yep I tipped the bike onto its left side at a dead stop!!! Halfway into the street! We didnt get hurt but picking it up...well well well! We did it just Barely. 830 pounds of dead weight. Ha!
