Ohhh hell yeah!!!
Well to anyone that wondered about Beartooth pass...yeah its worth it!! We had the best weather too. Lucky!! Then to finish it off to Cody via Chief Joseph was the topper! Once again glad to be on the 1290!! It was a haul that day but we arrived in Cody with plenty of time to set up camp then go into town for Brewski’s and a Burger. Sweet!
Ye ol camp in Cody! Beer and Pizza night!! Well...then later on I had a hankering for something sweet and some MILK!. So I hopped on the bike to ride up to office to see what they had. T shirt, shorts, no helmet. I get there and its closed. So I put out onto the hwy and ride down carefully looking for a store. What do ya know ...a Walmart. So 2 boxes of rasberry filled powdered donuts (you know the kind!) and a jug o milk later I ride back to camp. Sketchy I know ...once at camp I made my rounds seeing who might want one. You know they say “sharing is caring!” Hahaha!!
I believe that’s when @Captain Salmon said “Eric...you have been redeemed.” As he smiled and quietly ate his doughnuts.
This little snake was staying nice and warm under the tent on my side!
Here we are in the morning the day we left Cody. The boys were in having breakfast while we hurry’d and broke camp then met across street. At this time we had no idea what a long ride today was going to be.
Yellowstone lake! Looks like a damn ocean its so big and you ride along it what sems like an eternity!
Nice break with our “cool cats”
So yeah we rode i to Yellowstone park. Checked out some geysers and also went to Old Faithful parking area for fuel(I didnt need any with the 8.5 gallon tank on the bike). We didnt stay. What a cluster F... and getting back outta there was too. I can see going back on an off season but this tye I think it sucked. Heck we never even say wildlife!! Weird! We exited the park on the southern exit and stopped right there at a lodge that had killer food (elk taco salad) and beer!
After leaving Yellowstone we headed east on Grassy lake rd which turns into Ashton Flagg ranch rd. Just awesome!! This was west and back to Montana. Once in Montana we caught an old logging hwy that had weeds growing out of cracks and wound our way north through twisty’s at breakneck speed...Fish creek road. Sorry no pics of that cause we were hauling!
nice break here catching up to part of the group
bikes looking good! Nice and used!! Maybe abused too..but heck wouldnt ride it if it couldnt hang!! BAD BOY!!
Nice!!...I been a lot of the places you went in Wyoming. Cody and Yellowstone and all...I know what you mean about the crowds though. It's nice and scenic, but the hordes of sightseers kind of ruin it for me. Lots of other nice places to see without the crowds. I'm done with the RV parade/national park thing.
For sure Rick! I mean i’m a tourist too but that craps over the top. I’m sure the BOM 2020 might skip that we’ll see. Cheers and I hope your all healed up!!
That day from Cody to Big Springs was only 200 miles, but with the traffic in Yellowstone it was definitely a long day.
Big Springs!! Yes they are!! Just a beautiful place! Sorry no pics of camp!
And heres where it starts! Came right outta there and a few other places.
Heres a couple more from Big Springs. Just awesome!
Ok “THE SHIT” is coming up so I thought i’d leave you with a couple!!
STAY TUNED!! Cheers!!!
Great rides and great pics @Oldschoolrocker & @HoneyBunny.
Thanks my Brother from the other side of the world!!! Much appreciated!
Just realized this route didnt include Old Faithful parking lot! Guess i’ll just tack on another 150 miles! Hahahaha!!! Felt like it!!
Don’t forget about the line for this!
Yeah at West Thumb Getser basin!! Place was packed too!!
