Well well well!! This group of pictures has so much meaning to us. We had just tackled the most evil shit to get to this spot. We entered trenches of two track that were a foot deep and the bottom was filled with baby head rocks. Tall grass on either side, big hump in the middle. We started in on this trail and got about 50 feet. I stopped cause it was bad. I said “this cant be the right way?” Oh it was but the track got goofed up. 0F3F0DA9-8CD2-4F97-B8CF-F4539134B39B.jpeg We kept struggling along hating every minute but made progress. We came to a spot and stopped. By now our leader was nowhere in site. Timmer came up from the rear and said “we need to go up there”. I got the bike turned around in the ditches and looked up at the hill climb. Pretty steep. I said “hang on!! “ and I ripped it up that mother!! CAD8D890-F8D4-42F2-9C50-9A236E3EDC3C.jpeg We came up and once again a beautiful site!!! Wuuhooo! People!! Ha! C37DC831-AD7E-48B7-B8CA-58E5921C7835.jpeg @HairLipDog dog turned our way and said “you two are something else!” He then kindly offered us a couple beers as a prize!! Hell yeah!!

I call this day “Heaven and Hell” Sorry if that sets wrong. We were nt done yet. Had more to come thinking it was over. 75169DE6-F8CA-4221-AF21-AE2851A34DA2.jpeg FB5A4E36-9F3E-4061-9FA7-BEB082D31BDE.jpeg Looking at the route here it looks oh so nice! Uhhh..no! It got right back into “Hell”. Sorry but it was an ass kicker that took every bit to maintain an upright position. 9A7A11B4-CCD4-442B-BB85-BCF6683B4EBF.jpeg

These pics dont do any justice to how knarly it really was. Nor does it show how many rocks were in most spots. Nor how deep! 10A9369F-82AE-48F0-9C34-93E4CD052D7F.jpeg Look at that BAD BOY used and abused! Love it!! Enough of the bike..whats really going on here is the spot where Hairlipdog crashed. Just left top of the hill and came upon him and bike laying on ground. Scary site! He ended up bruised but ok to ride out but would end his trip soon after. 0C4911DE-AA50-4231-B700-9B2FF68C0827.jpeg We tractored on..thats what the bike is good at..like a big tank...sand, pea gravel, moon dust and 7or 8 near falls. My goodness!! We made it out. 3 or 4 people bit it. But all ok. Got to Grasshopper campground down the road from Elkhorn hotsprings and set up camp. Wow!

Ahh...Elkhorn hotsprings. Bikes unloaded after setting up camp. Time for beer before hotsprings. Well deserved beer too! 8271F596-881E-4CA2-8D4F-BBFC655A039C.jpeg 1CBFAD87-6B7F-4CAA-943B-B72A287E78CE.jpeg oWe camped at Grasshopper across from Bobzilla. I think the ride kicked everyones butts and most ended up getting lodging at Elkhorn D3186591-3958-49B2-93DD-C500BB18D746.jpeg ahhh..the rear shock on the bike! Still hanging in there and would the rest of the way home.

Well we skipped out on the last section from Elkhorn to Stevensville. It had rained that night so in the morning we said goodbye to Bobzilla. We made a campfire and dried our camp gear etc, swilled down some nice french press coffee and just took our time. The plan was to ride the slab back. Was a great choice as the scenary was awesome! (Sorry no pics)We stopped in Stevensville and had lunch then b lined it for this place off of hwy 12 and Patty creek rd. 5C18C288-49F4-48D5-93C9-B70B8E41D933.jpeg Someone finally got their fix!,Passed so many everywhere else so it was past due to stop and let Honeybunny “smell the horses” hehe! 3599C9B9-4765-4B73-96A0-4927088CAEAE.jpeg 62595729-ED4A-43FF-9180-D553D4F7095D.jpeg Our stop for the night..Rivers Edge motel in Alberton.
