In the morning we left Winthrop and headed to Conconully. But I had gotten the “hot tip” to take Baldy pass directly on gravel. Ahhh was it nice!! Just us out there, no hot tarmac, cars trucks and attitudes! 10963596-2E8B-4EE7-B2B5-68E50A1FB0B3.jpeg Whatz up!! Even with the evidence of fires ....what to say.... BCC665A1-C80B-438F-AA3F-AC24217D0D28.jpeg 37C89102-7B20-46D3-BFDF-9B19D3232E8F.jpeg Stopped at ye ol’ Sit n bull. Ironically we sat outside in the back of the place, I noticed a gentleman sitting there with his buddy, walked in and got a ptcher of IPA , went back out and realized who it was! On our past excursions we had met Jim in Republic at Madonna’s pub and hit it off with him. Now here we are at least a year later and we run into him here! Boy what a small world!! Great guy too! Retired and he seems to have good friends all over the area.
41BDA92A-C047-4DE7-B90F-AA90686A136C.jpeg We hung out for a bit, no hurry no worry, got some brats and summer sausage from the butcher across the street, loaded up and headed out. Well not too far out! Guess I should have looked at the damn map once again!! Haha! My memory was wrong as I thought the road in front of pub went to Loomis. Not so! Dead end way up there, turned around and came back. At this point we went with plan B again! Slab it to HQ for weekend ride and get base camp set up. So we rode slab to the hwy 97 then grocery store in Tonasket and onward east on 20 to HQ.
I hope you have had a chance to review the thread of the event the next 2 days for it has pics from everyone and what we have has been posted. We had a blast, got the shit scared outta us and met some really cool people along with old friends. We where the last to leave on Monday, rode back thru Wenatchee then Leavenworth for our usual beer/brat stop and back over Stevens pass and home. 885 miles total for the trip, damn near 4600 miles of ADVenture so far this year!
Not sure what the rest of the year will have in store. Maybe some small stuff who knows? As we hope to have some new dwellings by the end of the year and I need to stop messing atound with these stupid bikes and get busy on othe stuff!! Haha!! Cheers and stay tuned i’m sure zumzing will show up!! ERIC

Thanks for all of the great reporting. I'm retiring in 1.5 years, headed to the PNW/Rockies and then spreading out the rides further across N. America. I've ridden some of what you've reported, but there sure is a lot more for me to cover. I'll keep an eye out for you, and I'll be either on a 1979 Honda GL1000 with sidecar, or a TW200 with a trailer exactly like yours. Beers on me.

Really enjoying your take on adventure riding! Great RR.
I have two serious questions tho.....
    1) your bike load doesn’t appear to have reduced any with the trailer......you just take more shit right?
    2) how long before you expect to get rear ended due to that over loaded trailer obscuring the guy behinds vision of your lights? Traffic infringement?
Keep up your report, loving it( been to so many of the places you done so far!)

Haha! You are correct sir! More shit? Yep...bigger tent, cots, propane heater and bottles, rain tly and poles. Sure theres more but it also depends on what kinda trip we are taking.
The tail light bugged me too. Since then I ave cut 3 inches outta the crate!! All good now. Cheers and Thanks!

Sweet! Glad you liked it. We are on the road again and headed back home. No real adventure except for looking at a new dwelling, but hot slab work today! Cheers! 19552F43-6123-4D3E-AE05-C9AE0AF4A042.jpeg Moses lake WA. Once again asked a local for best place and it was spot on! Busy place

Howdy! We got back yesterday from a ride to check out a house to buy and visit family in Spokane. 380 miles on the way there and by the time we got done checking out this place we just called it a day and got a motel.
Saw this place listed and had to go check it out! Just awesome views and the house and garage was pretty good. E876DCCF-5B17-4683-89B0-6F608D28B28C.jpeg 4D60D78E-D3DD-4D3D-9BA9-8BAD0D6D1E83.jpeg 26AC5E83-3855-49A6-9506-76C7099D5D18.jpeg Main issue we couldnt get past was the road to it. Bad enough dry on the KTM getting to it but rain or snow would have been a nightmare! Just past here was a steep section that a car would have a tough time. Kinda a bummer because the place was the last one on a long gravel road and next house up obviously didnt maintain the road. DDA004AB-6C51-4ACC-A16D-5D2D096B35C9.jpeg

During our evening at the motel, we happened to look at Craigslist and found this place! The next morning we took a ride over there and the owner happened to roll up on his quad! Damn right we put an offer in! Still waiting on whether we got the place...fingers crossed! 2CBE443A-029F-4485-A5F0-8CD783E59038.jpeg Theres what I need!! A real shop! All is good!

Well I might as well catch us up! No epic high mile ADVentures but we’ve rode a bit. Gave our beloved CONCOURS some love with new tires and fresh oil and filter. Thanks to a tip from @Need For Speed I went with the Avon Spirit ST’s. Price was right and they do ride well. So I got er all polished up as we where going to head east to sign some paperwork on the new place (still in the works) 15FAFC36-C4A2-4406-B66C-97DCE8E28C1F.jpeg 07F8A5D6-C72B-42F5-B5F2-7D35364A1EE8.jpeg Sorry no pics of the trip there, was one of those days when the sky was just dripping the entire way. Not raining, not pouring, just drippy. Weird!! 6D672B6B-1608-45EE-BA34-8DD5D759542E.jpeg Yeah I hope this baby will be ours soon!!! 2E72E44B-B15B-4F7F-A50F-D622178C3892.jpeg We spent the first night at the Davenport motel, then 2 nights with Family, then the last night at same motel. Mission accomplished for now.

We had taken I 90 on the way to Spokane just to make time but opted once again for Hwy 2 over Stevens pass on the way home.
And as you surely see no stop for us going through Leavenworth is complete without beer and brats!! And no we didnt wait in that line. We lucked out and got in before it got packed.
56AB784C-A21C-4773-B083-11058BFDEBAA.jpeg Yeah yeah yeah.... CDA70B1D-C5AF-4BE8-B425-5264CBAE5EAB.jpeg This time we hit our secluded stop along the Beckler river after coming over the pass. C74ACCE8-1E57-4931-81D4-9CDEFD4E75C6.jpeg After this...you guessed it...traffic on the west side and the blast home. Was nice to get out on this bike for its smooth engine but the KTM has the smoother ride. Its a real toss up! Sure @HoneyBunny has something to say about her choice! Cheers!!
