Well we had arrived in Vegas! Got our room after unloading all the shit off the bike. Nothing like a load of camping /travel gear being carted in a hotel. Haha! DCF91A93-E4F9-4937-8077-2456710340C9.jpeg FA4BEFB9-68F4-4EDD-9A3D-EBE0BC531CC2.jpeg The weather was awesome so I decided we should ride like we normally dont do...shorts and tennis shoes. Traffic is pretty much bumper to bumper down the strip so what the hell. We rode to the famous sign and shortly after that it got dark which was perfect to see the city all lite up. We made it back to the hotel and had a good nap..wink wink...then got up in the early eve and went down to the Fremont. It was getting close to Halloween so the freaks were in full force. We enjoyed walking along checking out the different bands and street artists (freaks too) OMG! But thats Vegas and its a sight to be had. Awesome light show with music on the overhead. They got a zip line up there too! 23BEB6C1-0657-45DD-BB25-69FCC226A6C0.jpeg 1F8831DB-F0EE-4E5D-B135-EE1CD2EC3747.jpeg 6249E5D3-37E5-4274-ACA8-36BCE47F5138.jpeg EDF4772A-83A4-41C6-B96F-24C12BD19595.jpeg

Leaving Las Vegas...yeah. So this stretch I would gladly forget. Pushed hard the whole way.First Tune a paw up to Wellington then west and south to Coleville. Crazy fool. Too much. The Concours was flat singing a tune running triple digits alot of the way. Boring ass crap! Heres our food stop in Tonopah...a Denny’s in the back of an old casino. The people looked like zombie’s coming in there. Just a trip!!! Never seen so many run down houses/shacks along roadway not knowing if someone still lived in them. Then all the ammo storage hills near Walker lake I think?? I pushed hard on this stretch...yeah I already said that:jack B10DB021-400D-423F-90BF-F6031547080D.jpeg ahhhh...finally arrived at our little sweet motel. Andruss Motel south of Coleville in a dont blink town of Walker. Bought some beer, snacks and a giant burrito at a little store in town. The burrito would be a life saver later on!! Had a nice night with deer walking right outside the door! Nice place! 451540BA-7D13-48DD-A10A-D1AE0FADB005.png A9256BD4-D7BA-4A70-B2EF-CFE76BC5C376.jpeg 2BD0EF20-03AB-4497-8BDB-44F50BEBB864.jpeg

After our 400+ mile push and then nice night at motel it was off on another run. Heading home sucked. We pushed past Reno had a great lunch/beer stop and rode all the way to Klammath Falls OR. Spent the night in our tent at the KOA. Another push.... 13495D69-02C3-424B-B535-D95FAFBA7910.jpeg Man on a mission EDF7DE3E-EC38-40E3-91D8-6A0205BACE3B.jpeg 06936C35-AED0-4783-B08A-E83C31A0B6B7.jpeg lookin’ more streamlined by now. Well well well! What have we got here? Brrrrrr!!! That night at the KOA in Klammath Falls it dropped down to 30 degrees I believe. Day 21 of our trip and after all the heat and sunshine the PNWET didnt disappoint! At this point I was pretty much broke. Enough for gas and thats it. We didnt leave camp til like 10:30 cause of the cold the finally b-lined it up 97 to cut across near Mt Hood. Too afraid of snow anywhere else. Poor Honeybunny froze her ass off. Multiple stops warming up. The burrito I talked about earlier..that was our last meal along with a corndog and some water. Hahahaha!! Found a gas station with indoor seating and a microwave near Portland. We kept pushing all the way to Tacoma!! We made it!! About 4000 miles of pure moto Adventure!! Live and learn!! Cheers!!! STAY TUNED FOR MORE!! Thanks for reading! 1C4AC2BB-3E53-4579-8468-C36C050A7016.jpeg hey those are the cats meow tie downs!! Oh my God!! F5AE90A7-D664-410D-88DD-C74F3C88450A.jpeg

Ok!!! Before I move on lets talk about this BAD BOY. The “Black Night” ? Heck I dont know....This bike has been the shit. Yeah we still have it and its got a mere 30k on it. Never has had any issues and on the freeway is about as good as it gets. In the twisty’s its never let us down. I had always felt I owned one of the best bikes made and it might be? Isnt much you can do to it either. I took the seat apart and cut out sections of factory foam and replaced with memory foam and now have the 2nd top box on it. Other than that not much to farkle. Concours 14 I say. 87366B37-B928-414B-8E2B-68E5DFD7EC95.jpeg Heres a pic of a highlighted map of all the roads we had taken in the state of Washington. We covered alot and most trips east ended in Spokane area where we have family. Our love of riding reached new levels throughout our travels. Soon the thought of being able to ride backcountry hit my thoughts. Camp in the woods? Hmmmmm..... B65920B5-35C2-475C-AF91-F561A64AF50B.jpeg STAY TUNED!!

Such a sweet looking bike and had spent hours researching them. We rode up to Bremerton one day to check them out. They also had the Honda Africa Twin. Sweet bikes but only one problem...”come by on DEMO day and you can ride one” .....really? Gee thanks man!! So stupid! We hopped back on the Concours and went home. Hmmmmm.........Enter Sublimity OREGON

My Folks from Apache Junction came up and were going to be in Florence OR along the coast. Hey it looked like it was time for a road trip!! I found POWER MOTORSPORTS in Sublimity and emailed them. “Do you folks have a S10 we could test ride?” Their reply..”sure..come on down!” Wuuhooooo!! We had a plan! Stop off there, test ride the bike and continue on to Florence. Sweeeeeeet!!!!

So we made it down to Sublimity and POWER MOTORSPORTS. Awesome place!! From the dealership you can hop on the freeway then take next exit and ride back through town in a nice loop. First we rode the Tenere’....hmmmm...felt pretty small, not alot of smooth power...guess riding 2up on the big Concours had an effect? We looked at each other after the loop and both of us were expressionless. So the sales kid said try the KTM 1190. Sounds good! Back to our loop...ummm same result. A bit better but just not what we had thought again. “I tell you what” he said. “Go have lunch and give us an hour and we’ll get a 1290R ready for you” ok!!!! So off we went. Ye ol’ “Wooden Nickle” pub and eatery in town was spot on!!!! Just the way we roll!! Ha! 72DF7C3E-DCE6-4E07-89B1-2C582971872A.jpeg 7C84963A-BB05-47F8-ABBB-6FB2D8841DAD.jpeg Back at the dealership heres the bike waiting. 1290R ? Seen them but really hadnt given them much thought. Seen the T model also but they didnt have one. But heck..we’ll take it for a spin! “0 miles on it so take it easy “ “but still give it a rip” yeah ok!! Will do!! 50D43C76-6E2D-439E-A2F4-A37BE9711C0B.jpeg we hopped on the freeway and cracked the throttle....OMG!!!! Are you frickin’ kidding me?!?! I got off the freeway and stopped at the stop sign, turned to look at Honeybunny, and I could tell!! We both had enormous grinners!!! Smooth, power and comfort!!! What a machine!!!! 9B9DFBDC-67FB-48E7-9018-E452DCCF6A3D.jpeg So I gave the kid my info. Told him I was interested in a T model because of the hard bags that came with them and we made our way to Florence with a new outlook on life!!! Of course I never heard back from the kid even though later on I saw them advertise 2 off the “T” models. Go figure!

So heres the only pics we have of us in Florence. This is the 1000 Trails campground. The weather held out and we got to cruise the big Duramax CHEVY around touring the area and lunch along the river. 4A6855D0-BAA0-4D8D-9BD5-EC64B49506B8.jpeg Here we are leaving. Nice visit and yep you guessed it..”great sandwich” !! F0D617F7-F5F6-4ACB-AC72-814092E5F69D.jpeg So there was a major downer on this trip. We had our tent on the green mat back there and our bike parked under the overhang of the 5th wheel at night. Well some “tweaker douche bag” stole the tank bag and Her back pack off of the bike. Yeah usually we have all that stuff in the tent. Just spaced it that night. In the morning we walked around and found the tank bag with registration still in it. But minus the camera, sunglasses and house keys amoung a few other items. Her backpack was laying on a trail with all her clothes laying around. What was missing? Bra and panties!! Some real lossers there. Guess they have thieves all the time. Oh well live and learn!! E1F221DA-9A3B-469E-B20F-7DB4D8038D05.jpeg So back to Sublimity we went. Had to have another look!! Haha!! Ended up buying a new SHOEI ADV helmet and a pair of OAKLEY glasses! Got a screaming deal and no tax!! Wuuuhoooo!! And oh what a comfy helmet!!
