A dominant racer is boring. I'd like to see several winners and at least 2 competitors going for it until the last lap of the last race. So what do you all have to say? :ear

I'm pretty sure Ricky knows all the weaknesses of the FTR and how to exploit them to their fullest.

Bryan still holds the lap record at Springfield, on a Kawasaki.

Your first entry can be the Howerton-CROSLEY / Bryan Smith #4 team. The team will consist of Ricky Howerton, Jeff Gordon, Dink Glidden, and Bryan Smith. It's the original team that has been together since 2012. Of course, Kawasaki powered.

Hopefully a top rider (Smith) on a Kawasaki will stop some of the moaning about the Indian platform and buy some quiet time until the orange menace appears.......

Mees will retire with Indian. They are paying him stupid $$.

KTM will be looking for a younger rider with a good fan base.

Put Carver on the factory Indian! I can see Briar on the same factory Indian team with Mees. I wanna see more Beach! Harley will loose and add riders. Sammy will probably stay.

KTM will likely go for several younger riders. At least one with some wins on the resume.

The rumblings in this part of the world is at least one twin is already being tested.

Also be interesting to see how many singles riders are on KTM/Husky platform next year. Since OKC Mile, all but 2 race winners were on that platform. The Yamaha and Kawasaki singles seem to have decent speed as well.

Hmmm.....with Smith going back to a Kawasaki, maybe Vanderkooi can get an Indian ride. That boy has some serious talent.....

I see Carver as being a good fit for KTM because of his personality and fan base.

If Indian puts a second transporter out there to replace the outgoing Howerton team, I can see Dave Zanotti getting the nod. He already has Briar and they can add a second rider of Indian's choosing.

That sounds like a good move. Have you heard anything about how long Indian plans on staying involved?

Indian is in it neck deep. I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon. They are getting good exposure from their flat track investment and the new seudo 1200 street tacker is really creating a buzz outside of the flat track community. Besides, they are embarrassing the H-D faithful to no end. I think they're getting their $$ worth right now.

The biggest mistake Indian has made is not letting Ricky develop the FTR like they originally said he could. He has a whole bunch of frames and other parts in his shop that Indian wouldn't let him use.

I'm kind of glad they didn't allow the play. Get some other bikes out there. Just to fulfill RB's prediction, here's the whine - the decline in popularity of flat track seemed to coincide with the time when the only ride to have was a Harley, whether Junior or Expert, it had to be an XR. The only times it perked up a bit was with the brief run by Honda until they were turned into lead sleds and out of competitiveness.

I actually was and still am cheering for Harley, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and any other street bike based machine to come in and kick some special race engine butt. Here's to Howerton Crosley and H-D Vance-Hines picking up some horsepower over the winter. Mix it up. Like Terry Vance indirectly said, it's gonna be a definite feather in a "street based engine" team's hat if they can take out the "race engine" as Vance called it.

Id love to see how much Street is in that V&H. They probably get a box of parts and hand built an engine. I doubt it came off the production line and they certainly didn’t buy a wrecked street bike.
