Thank you, Rick. If you want to tickle the "I can't believe I'm doing this" part of your consciousness, I would suggest Rodcot Karp. Even shuttling Spring Creek, you still have a gut wrenching climb. But then, you arrive here. See what I mean about those dogs? They are offended by following a BearCAT, but other than that, they are fully committed to the cause. I have to say, I was a put off a little by the idea of trailering when we could ride trails we hadn't been on right out of the house. But the call of Sargents is strong. This viewpoint, or vista, could be in Virginia or Pennsylvania, but it's 10,000+ feet. Nice place. After you clear Monarch Crest going south, the Colorado Divide Trail takes on a slightly different character. It is gorgeous, and we are getting over into the Rio Grande (Big River) drainage.
