Just did a quick google search - sounds nice but not offensive.
it isnt loud, its amaizing how boxer like the note is actually, the typical BMW note
I used to have the baffle out, still not loud, just a touch louder than T7 with the baffle in I’d say
but the Cat is still in there, I’m not an environmental vandal
not loud at all, in fact the 2 others I know with them don't even use the baffle, but I prefer this one a bit quieter
Did you fit it or was it on the bike when you bought it?
What was the weight difference between the two if you did fit it and weighed them both?
I remember the Wings and standard pipe difference on the 950 Adventure was around 12 kilograms from memory.
i had an Arrow I put on in first month or 2, dont think I ever weighed it all but prob 4kg in it, the stock pipes flow quite good, you dont really get any extra oomph, just lighter, neater, looks better. I shouted myself the Akro when I sold the 1200
if I get the car down there in next few months I’ll throw the Arrow in for you, its still very good condition
If you take it to Nev's you won't be able to get home, drop it off in Jindabyne instead.
I like the Akropovic on the 1250 - just a slightly deeper note but much nicer in appearance plus its much lighter and cooler than the original.
I used to love the good old days when I could delete comments.
I must have missed your bid
don’t worry about him, he’s torn between a 790 oil leaker, and a Motor Guzzler
no hope for him
Shame really - he showed promise for a short while.
i have a special one for him, the Arrow would be waisted on one of those little 650 engines anyway
There's still another prospect on the list. I think the oil leaker has dropped off the shopping list.
Its old - but enjoyable to watch if you haven't seen it for a while.
The Akro on my former 1200 was an aftermarket one and definitely had more bark than the OEM Akro on the 1250.
Still a nice note though!
Any real performance difference though, in the bike I mean!
Ready to ride the world straight off the show room floor and reliability, thats what made the ADV so popular world wide
Honestly Cruz.. I reckon you could only tell with a dyno.
Had a Yoshi on the KLR.. it just moved the power band down lower.. and it was noticeable and pleasant change.
Nev, did you sell the KLR ? probably makes a good replacement...
They are a good bike if you like beige and plenty of people do, some people we know even bought a beige car...
