No mate - still have the KLR and the DR750 and not intending to sell either for the time being.

The 800 is a bike I'll use when we plan on doing some camping but in the harder to get to places like up the back of the Dartmouth Dam or some bush riding with my Son on his WR250R. And not that there's anything wrong with Beige but I'm not upset its Red. :-)

My 2011 F800GS has the Remus system (which means no Cat), and an Akrapovic can. I love the sound, it isn't all that loud, but has a nice rumble. The system was on the bike when I purchased it, but I have the full standard system in a box in the garage if I ever wanted to go back to standard. I don't think that I would spend the money on the full system myself, but I do like it on the bike.

A while back I noticed the F800GS Dash thread here in the Oz section & the same repair we have been doing to the 650GS single dashes for a long while

Have now had 2 dash assemblies from older F800 variants & 1 from an R1200R sent in to look at, all 3 looked dead, as per the 650GS single dashes it was the 5v supply rail electrolytic capacitor degraded, replace it & dash back in service, for those in Qld, Tor Motors on the sunny coast can assist

Now all we need is to be allowed to take it out and play. :-)

Thanks mate - should have bought a new one in 2015 but at least I have one now.

Is there anything to pay attention to when I check it over tomorrow?

Top shock bolt and fuel filter, but it looks low k's so wouldn't worry about the filter just yet.

Its got 40900 kilometres on it but looks to be in great condition. The previous owner was used to riding slow bikes and has a very small penis so I don’t think he abused it too often. :lol3

I'd be doing the filter then. My fuel pump went at around 50k. Looks well looked after, shame it's one of those common-as-muck red ones.
