I just went out and double checked but no, its all clear and no error warning lights.

If you use the high beam circuit to active a relay which then feeds power into your light bar then I think you should be ok - its only a very small current draw and most likely undetected. But, I'm prepared to take the risk of anything going wrong on my bike so happy to wire it up in this way. If I did go the LED headlight I'm not sure if I would be able to hook up the high beam without using a HEX EZcan or similar. I have used one of these on the 1250 and working well now that I've solved the problem of why they wouldn't work.

i couldn't go any further, the friggin bridge is gone

I can still remember crossing it many times going to nan and pas standing on the tail shaft hump in the back of mum and dads Kingswood and throwing the 5cent toll into the bucket in that exact spot. Windsor to Redcliffe was a planned event in those days

Only talking about that last week with a mate at Humpybong. And the Lions Club would sell Visitor Visas to raise money at the Peninsula side of the bridge. They did that at Bribie too. Gave you a little Passport for visiting.

How are the Anakee Adventures going.

My father once told me they marched over it during WW2 and were told to break step as there were concerns that the impact of thousands of feet hitting it at the same time could cause structural damage.
They'd just come back from fighting the Germans so that's relevant to a F 800 GS thread :D

It's not so much the impact that is the problem, it becomes an issue if the marching is close to the resonanzfrequenz of the bridge. :deal

I have decided to keep my bike. While I would like the money and could put it to use elsewhere, I can't bear to part with it as I enjoy it too much and have put too much time and effort in to it, I know that I would regret it if I were to sell it now.

So, I have decided to give her an early Christmas present, I ordered a new LED headlight from Hoglights. I am not sure yet when it will arrive, but I will post up some before and after photos when it does. Fingers crossed it will be a nice upgrade :)

I think you've made the correct decisions in keeping it if you're still not 100% sure it's time to sell. You'll know when the time is right.

Looking forward to seeing your review on the LED lights - personally I feel it will be glowing. :lol3

Ok, I'll let myself out. :shog
