I will admit, I am expecting it to be good. If it isn't, you will well and truly know it!! Considering the price, I am expecting it to be good. I will take photos of the light beam, from the standard headlight as is to the new light. You can make judgments for yourself. I don't go out of my way to ride at night, I prefer to be camped up or home by them, but there are times where you get caught out and it would be nice to have better light to ride by and better light to be seen by. Hopefully this unit will do the trick, but I will try to make the review as honest and clear as possible, you can make up your own mind. I have no affiliation to Hoglights and I am paying retail price, so if they are crap you will know it!! But hopefully the photos will provide some evidence either way.

Some of the ones being fitted to many cruisers getting around are just blinding in the daytime, hate to come across them at night time. It isn't directed light, it is just a blaze of bright whiteness. Why riders want to dazzle or blind riders/drivers coming towards them has got me fecked! Same as having DRLs along with fog lights and driving lights on in the day time.
Hopefully these lights work properly as they describe.

I hope the reflector is a good quality and deflects the beam to where it should be pointing - as in slightly to the left of centre and a cut off to the right so you're not blinding the on coming cars.

Hopefully it arrives soon @Trekka273 and you're very happy with it.

Thanks. It will be interesting to see how it goes. I don't do a whole lot of night riding, I try to avoid it where I can, but there are times when you get caught out, so when I am out at night I want the light to be good. They are ADR compliant so I would expect that the reflector, quality of LED's, quality of reflector, etc is good. I certainly hope it is!!

If it is ADR compliant then it has to be designed for left hand side Australian roads.

I’ve always said the only way I’d sell my F8 is if I can replace it with a last model as new one

    A. Sell the red one ride the black one.
    B. Put the red one on the wall in the pool room and ride the black one.
