    Hey Kartman,

    If you are looking on doing Dakar, and finishing it without dealing with bike problems, the only way to go today is an RFR 450 carb. You can find used ones for good money, and they will outperform in both reliability and purpose built factor every single bike on the grid. And that will hold true for many more years... Unless the bike is a Dakar built (Note: not 'Rally built' , but 'Dakar' specifically) you are risking all the money you are putting in the project.

    Drop it, go for a converted endure bike or factory built bike that brand who cares it's you who will do the Dakar not your bike
