Has anyone swapped rims sizes around say a 21 up front keeping the largest 17" in the rear. I really want a T 7 but don't have the money right now. I like this bike but wish it was 18" and 21". Would just adapting a 21" in front help it be a better off road still keeping on road abilities.? Thoughts?. Thanks for any links you can think of.

Wondering if F650 single wire rims would fit F650 twin?

However, wired tubeless rims like new GS range would be awesome. I think I'll wait for someone to make those for old bikes like F650gs twin.

I had Woody Wheels lace up a set, he them sealed. They were $3k by the time you buy the abs rings, rotors to make them hot swappable.

I took a bath selling and it took forever to find a buyer...

The tyre in the back is the rear of a F800GS and in the video he is converting the rear off a F650GS (single)

I've ordered the stuff to do this, just need to set a few days aside to go back to the other side of Ireland and do it.
I noticed a wobble in the front F650GS (single) wheel from the hub when i did a rough trial last time i was home, but I was told the bearings might be shot. Have new bearings now to go into both wheels so hopefully that will sort it out.

From what I have been able to research, the F650GS R13 front wheel and F800GS K72 rear wheel are straight bolt in swap. Bearings and axles are same part numbers. I have looked at the front wheel and the brake rotor is same part numbers. This might be next project after I sell an Air Head GS.

The F650GS/F700s and F800s do not use the same front axles/hubs, so the front will not be straight swap.

@Dorito, 36 31 7 705 569 FLOATING AXLE, FRONT, That is the part number for the F650GS (K72) and the F650GS (R13). All BMWs have series identifiers. All twin cylinder 800cc bikes are K7x, All oil head 1200 boxers are K2x and wet heads are K5x. That is why I used the numbers in the parenthesis. There are two F650GS motorcycles. One is a 650cc single cylinder engine, R13 and the other is a 800cc twin, K72. The front wheel from an R13, is a straight swap into a K72.

i think what Dorito meant was the F800 wheel isn't a straight swap onto the F650GS.

    sorry for the late reply.

I had hoped to get back home last week to give the swap a try, but havn't had a chance yet.
