    Hello,

The only thing I missed was the my ex-Vstrom, the wind protection, I've solved installing the F800 adv windshield. The protection is greatly improved!!

What mods did you have to make to get it to work?

and will the cross bar support a GPS?

To install this windshield in the f700gs or "normal" f800 should not modify or change anything. In F700gs just have to remove the side black pieces (triangular shaped).

Annex part list (all bmw references) needed to install this windshield. In my case, I purchased all the pieces listed, but at the end of the assembly were left over, because I use some screws, nuts, etc of the touratech windshield.

The total cost (in Portugal) was 440 €

F700GS owners should be aware that there are a number of different bars and brackets depending on your model year and which screen you want to use. 2013 models are different to 2012 ones! The GSA screen looks to have its own bar different to the Touring and std (high for 700) screens.

    Hi,

I finally installed my tomtom GPS with a RAM support in the adv windshield.

I made a "permanent" electric supply for the GPS, using the connector that's on top of the battery, an adapter 12V connector bmw connector, a switch, a fuse and a power supply of gps.

To can use the connector that's on top of the batery it's necessary the bmw cable ref. 83300413585.

Using the connector that's on top of the battery, there is only power when the bike is working. Also if I have the gps mounted I can turn off the power to the switch.

The GPS in this position is very good.

This is the "adapter 12V - bmw connector":

    Hi,

This is the zone (with red circle) where the black tube of the adv windshield are fixed to the chassis.

And this is the explode drawing of a adv windshield

Another point where this tube is fixed to the motorcycle is the number 8 in the second drawing, this point is fixed to the number 3 in the first drawing.
