F800gs - Almost perfect except for poor suspension.

    Yeap. I'm actually slightly heavier than that myself (245) and I can feel the weakness of those forks pretty well. I could do with a diet but losing 80 pounds is really not an option

    So after 8 years BMW is still satisfied with the OEM suspension and allows the after market suppliers to fix what would be a cheaper fix on the assembly line. This would be acceptable in a bike as cheap as the DR650. Not so much on a bike in this price range. Little wonder that Triumph and now Honda have taken a sizeable chunk of the mid- size ADV bike market!
