Hello people, I have just installed a set of LED lights on my '16 F800GS. It was plug and play alright however I can't properly fit them in the headlight case. I have seen these lights on many same bikes so I am guessing there is a fancy way of fitting it in the case. Do some people make a cut around the cover/lid so that the fan and cables stick out? I don't want water to get in the LEDs lol By the way, the light output now is amazing, it's a very cheap, but pretty substantial upgrade.
You may want to check out cyclops lights, they make an extended cap for their lights that gives space as theirs has a fan as well. You may be able to buy the extended caps separately. https://www.cyclopsadventuresports.com edit: there was also a way with theirs that the voltage controller little box also tucked into the light housing. May want to checkout their install and see if that is possible with the lights you have. I believe it was only the right build in their kit that needs the extended back cover

I've sent off the B model files to my friend who has access to one. Worked me around £25 for the pair of covers.
If you are talking about that then be very careful mine were porous, I ended puting silicone to seal them, plus they wont lock securely due to tabs quality, so I added electrical tap. Purchased them from Etsy... Pure garbage! Wich brand of leds you have ?
