I still have a lot of images to process but here is the first batch:

I was doing a portfolio building day with a friend which was an amazing success (I got about 20-30 portfolio quality images out of it) doing all sorts of outfits/backdrops but the GS was the most fun by far. This was actually the first time I had a model on a bike and definitely something I need to do more often.

Very nice!!! The smooth curves of the seemingly very tall woman (or is the GS lowered?) are a stark contrast to the utilitarian sharp edges on the GS, me likey! :thumb

I've had my 8GS lowered in other life and I don't believe this one is...
either way, great photo's, cool bike, and hot model, yes you need to do this more often!

    Keep it up Mr. Beck!

Looks stock to me, save that the tubes are like 2" up in the triples. You can see them sticking up in pic #1 & #3.

    Here's a .02 hard critique:

--Most of the shots have a vertical background edge of some sort that is distracting and throws off the balance. Watch your backgrounds.

--The model is wearing a black outfit. The GS has a lot of black. This is not a good match. A colored leotard would have made a nice distinction between model and bike.

--In most of the shots, the logo/text on the bike is covered or in shadow. E.g., have the model move her leg 2" down so the GS shows clearly.

naw, i was blinded by the hot chick, and the GS doesn't have lowered suspension like mine did either. :1drink

I was looking at the distance from the skidplate to the ground and not looking at the triple clamp.

Thanks for the input, this was just a last minute add on (I got my friend to bring his GS over) to a portfolio building day so I'll pay extra attention to these issues next time.

I'm hoping to get another 1 or 2 models lined up to make a bike portfolio of my own come spring time.

The EXIF data appears to be lost, but I wonder what focal length / aperture the shots with the building(s) in the background were taken at. A reduced DoF might have resolved, or at least improved, some of these issues.

    I didn't notice the GS! :lol3

But really, for me pics of girls on bikes are way more appealing when they look like they are really gonna ride the thing. Like y'know, leathers and gloves and with the stand up. They can still look sexy with gear on.
