Send me a chilled beverage container immediately! My stator and R/R were designed robust from the factory, but if we could add a pump and a hose I could run it up my jacket to my coolmax garments that are supposed to last hours but dry out immediately. It's fracking hot in Missouri!

coolmax has never worked worth a crap for me ....

Maybe a camelback with a windshield washer pump plumbed to a neck ring with a few small holes drilled in it for on-demand re-dampening? :lol3

So a little reporting the long term, for the mosfet R/R. It have now been several thousand miles, and all is well. I have had no battery issues, and stator is still.......uhhhmmmmmm....statoring.:D The charge volts are still as initially measured. I have worked with the vendor of the kit.....

And are happy to inform you that he is almost ready with a complete bolt on kit....that includes a great looking anodized bracket.....

Enclosed in the kit is all the mounting hardware needed, as you reuse the stock R/R bolts, and flat nuts. The new bracket is 0.5 mm thicker than the stock, and delivered in black ano. I know that a few now have run the series R/R, and if they continue to report good results..... I might eventually go that route, but first, the importance to me is to take care of my battery, and this kit achieves that goal.

On a second note....... Where does the R/R sit on the F650 twin sit....???? anyone with pictures on it's location, as the vendor asked if I thought it would fit the 650 twin as well....????? I think I read somewhere that on the new F700 it was located to the position of the F800GS.....?????

The F650GS and the pre-2013 F800GS have the R/R in the same place. Both the 2013 F700GS and F800GS have the R/R positioned differently from the pre-2013s.

When the F800R came out the R/R was in a different location, as is the Charcoal Canister.
I think for 2013 the F700GS/F800GS started using the same location as the F800R ...
