A couple of years back, all the way from New Zealand, in Idaho.......
Nice muddy day after our first snow in the Abq/RioRancho NM area. There are Anakee Wilds in there somewhere...
First ride with then new F850GS... of course it needed to get dirty... and nope those anakee 3 tyres will be gone soon (it came with them for some reason)
Installed a Seat Concepts tall seat on my 800 - Way Gooder. Took the bike for a short ride and I feel a little more over the bike, and my legs are not a scrunched up.
Today on the gravel roads between Houston and Austin, Texas.
Sorry for the late reply. But I also have a 2018 F800gs Trophy. You will love it. by the way i see your from eastern NC, well so am i. I’m about 40 miles from Wilmington so if your ever going for a ride locally PM me.
So excited to finally bring her home. The adjustable wind screen is a nice feature my f750 had the stock one so much buffeting.
Bath + a tank of Ethanol free fuel.
I have an SW Motech pannier rack on my F800 GS. I read somewhere that the way the rack attaches to the license plate/brake light extension is a weak spot. One person had the unfortunate experience of tipping over, flexing the rack, and breaking the tail light/license plate holder. This resulted in an expensive repair.
I've looked at other racks, and they don't usually attach, but bypass the license plate/brake lamp holder.
Today, I created a different brace, using the SW Motech QR slots. Now, it no longer attaches to the brake lamp/license plate holder.
My new to me 700GS!!!
, Which windshield extender do you have?
My Girl looking good in the this lighting
this is the touratech windscreen extension. i dont usually like to run it off road, it can flap around a bit. that said, i have never once lost it or noticed it has shifted. It was a bit pricey but it is nice addition for longer trips. at 5'10" it provides me enough protection with an ADV helmet with a beak.

I have good news - after considering trading my F800GS for something else*, I've decided to keep it, and add a few upgrades to make it a little more enjoyable
The Sargent seat should arrive today - next week I'll get the front tire/wheel balanced - hand guards will be added and I think I'll keep it stock until things wear out
My goals involve 300 to 400 mile day trips on mostly backroads with occasional mild-off pavement adventures
It's been about three years since I had heated grips - those came in handy a few weeks ago while the temperatures dropped on my way home
It's a 2014 with about 9000 miles on it so, I hope the previous owner(s) took care of it and I hope it has a few more miles remaining
The BMW dealer replaced the fuel pump after I bought it but before I picked it up (thank you!)
Ride safe, ride often - thanks! :)
* some day I will have an R Nine T in the garage (ha)
Since i have picked up my T7, i keep considering selling my F800... that said, so far i keep making modifications, changing tires, and riding the hell out of it. Had an AMAZING ride this morning on her and i am just not sure i will ever let her go. Great bike. Todays ride was mostly off road trails in 22-30 degree F temps (heated grips also came in handy). 15,500 miles and I have owned since new. Your 9000 mile bike should have more smile filled miles for ya!
