I'll take some photos later today sure. The risers will likely do the trick for you. As for cable avoidance, no issue due to shape of the aluminum.

Here's the pics - I'm not trying to show the big picture of the end-product - I think we all know what Barkbusters look like. I'm showing full lock left and right - and showing the margin to the TFT display - and the margin to the tank which will be the issue on the GSA. And also I'm showing from underneath what the aluminum shape is that avoids all the cabling...and that's what creates the tank-margin difficulty as a result.

Again - my bike is the 850 GS ... NOT the GSA and I do *NOT* have risers installed. I have rotated my bars 'back' (towards the rider) a little bit fro comfort but didn't do that for the barkbusters install.

Awesome, thanks. I was wondering how it would get around the cables, but I see the arms drop a decent amount. I bought 35mm risers. We’ll just have to hope that provides enough clearance for the tank.

I tried my luck with these Chinese Hepco & Becker knockoff guards for $70.
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Brake-Clut...n-Bracket-Bar-For-F850GS-F750GS-/264558446088

Unfortunately they just wouldn't fit, once the end was tightened up the other end was just not close enough to line up with the nav bracket mount.
I put it in a vise and bent it a few times but couldn't get it to my satisfaction. They were always a few mm off.
Not to mention they did contact my WRS Caponord windscreen.

Guess I will have to go with the BarkBusters. Smaller and lighter, more $, I just don't like their look quite as much.

Would be happy to let these guards go cheap to someone who wants to play with them...

I mounted the Touratech R1250GS Handguards on my F850GSA. With the 20mm risers they bolted right no interference. The reason 1250 and 850 bars are different part numbers is the 1250 has longer bars otherwise identical. Bar end weights and bolts are the same part numbers.
There quite a bit of interchange between the two bikes. Front hub and brake rotors are the same.

So no one seems to have the bhg-075 Barkbusters VPS kit in stock at this time.
If anyone sees them available pls put the word out here.
    Got to have the Black-on-black.

Heatmizer, yes they are 100% plastic, but I did crash test them on my 1150GS I think about 65mph. The clutch lever bent a little, but that was it. Only a little less strong than Barkbusters. With the extra spoiler, they deflect more wind than BB. I have BB on my Tiger 800XC, which is for sale by the way.

Thanks Uncle. Or should I call you Drunk?
Do you have any (could you post some) pics of those from other angles than I can see online? These might be an option for me.

Don't risk getting your bike's controls or handlebar damaged by the cheap OEM "windguards" (because that's all they really are).

Get MachineArt Moto's ADV handguards. First and foremost they are FORGED alloy, very durable. I have them, crash tested them hard last week, and they came out flawless.

They come with a multi-mode wind protection for all seasons (removeable), and are made for hell and back rides. They are designed in New Jersey, and manufactured in Taiwan.

The factory plastic toys can be twist and broken by hand

What model did you get for de f850 gsa to mount it without a riser and have no interference with the TFT or petrol tank?
Because I did not find any aftermarket solution yet, barkbuster will not be making them, nor will hepco and becker..
