Pretty hard to go wrong with Jack Flemming of Roadstercycle, he really knows his stuff, vets all of his products, works closely with his vendors, and most importantly, is more than generous with his time and expertise. If there are any post sale problems Jack will be there for you, more than I can say for Spike of Compufire.

Good question, if you are talking about the genuine Shindengen Vs the knock-off, I would guess definitely the Shindengen.
If you are referring to the Roadstercycle unit Vs. a Compufire,,,I can't say because the Compufire was defective right out of the box, $160.00 wasted, because it was not installed on a Harley Davidson there was no warranty. Did I mention that I got ZERO customer support from the manufacturer, Spike Industries, Never even got a call back after several weeks of messages left on the customer service voice-mail, no email response, not even a response from a "snail-mail" letter.

If you paid with a credit card, dispute the charge. Your credit card company will immediately reverse the charges once you provide some info and then they help you get an equitable resolution. Unless you did something abusive to the device, they should offer some support.

When CC company contacts the vendor, they'll say, "It was designed for H.D." There's their out.

I could guarantee that I could make a case that it was no more bike-specific than a tire or tube.

From Amazon directly, or third party vendor? Important distinction. The latter really isn't 'from' Amazon.

Hey, not sure i agree . All the shindengen FHO12AA pictures i see are just like the fake showing as fake and they all have the marking of FHO12AA on the side. The only 2 things that looks weird on his example is the 3 tabs in the black plug, and not being labeled on the side.I think the difference he is showing is a shindengen FHO12AA to a FHO20AA as far as the back plate and casting ..I could be wrong and would love to know if I am. Thanks man

When I put a new RR on my Triumph I waffled and put a”branded” unit from flea bay on. It didn’ work from the get go.
Got one from Roadstercycle. It worked then, AND now. Be wise. Somethings are worth the little extra.

Man I went through 5 ,yes 5 cheepo ebay ones !! With my bike even the OEM is a Shunt POS so the Mosfet is a great replacement.
I got 2 used ones (OEM Mosfets) out of low mile wrecked bikes on ebay for 14.95 inc shipping each. The one is working great with the second as a backup .
