fall at the farm

head north tween the rivers where the women are scary
you think Fulton County is backwoods then friends you should go
down to Calhoun where the peaches are grown
the hills are real high and the turns they are tight
with roads so divine it may take me all night.
but the sky was a changing as I headed up
the rain started falling like it was poured from a cup
falling so hard that I couldnt see
my glasses were fogging in front of me

lost in the bottoms of the big muddy river
the rain was set in I was starting to shiver.
my stuff was all wet and lost though I were
at least I was riding not stuck in a cur
I found the ferry in due time you see
I was in no hurry out riding free
cross the river to Kinders to dry
had a cheeseburger a beer and some fries

wrung out and ready I headed for home
the map said two hours I would not take that long
If I tried and was careful and watched where I went
without much effort 5 more hours were spent
I found some new backroads a dualsporters dream
road along levees of Illinois streams
got home at sunset
with time to enjoy
a cold one with chainwife and a book with my boy
550 in miles riding afar
just a a day in the sadlle of my trusty Dakar

and so I leave you as allways before
with my adventure pictures and words of folklore
my audience quite captive you guys are it
like prisoners on computers reading this shit

Now thats one happy tired looking SOB. I sure appreciate all of the offers, but, I've got some labor from work lined up. I just helped a guy do his parents roof last month so he's in. First round is on me at the farm if I get to make my bike that dirty again
