Chain, did you want to post some info about the ride in the Upcoming Events Forum? Possibly get a couple outsiders into the Chaingolian Dynasty.

you called when you said riding on marbles.

this was fresh pour for a new road base. Top speed was probably around 40. I guess that means I'll be munching some dust, but at least this bike is getting properly dirty.

I am really looking forward to cranking up the learning curve. That was probably the last serious ride I'll take before Fall at the Farm.

I really need riding pants, jeans stay wet for a long time.

ride that stuff on my street bike. thought the GS would be different. nope. at least if the gs goes down it shouldn't be as costly a getoff

maybe you guys can help me with protective gear. I just wear my street gear now (leathers) even for seldom excursions off pavement (dirt roads, gravel and farm pastures) and I'm not sure what protective gear if any I should get since I won't be wearing leathers. I have a helmet, gloves , jeans, alpinestars dirt boots , my non leather jacket has no worthwhile padding (but it's very warm).

I see a lot of protective gear being worn.

Any reco's on other gear, like elbow guards, chest protector, knee guards, riding pants? I don't want to go overboard...(or do I ?) ;--)
