Apparently someone snapped a picture of me Saturday night chasing the bear out of camp.

I watched a little of the video that I shot. Should've stayed closer, the GoPro fisheye makes it seem like you are pretty far away. I will have a computer after the first of the month. I will send it to you then.

I need to post pictures still.

All I'm going to say for now, is that this was by far the best Fall Colors to date. PERFECT weather, lots of color, GREAT campground, and the fireside chat was epic. Iifk had a plethora of hilarous shit to say....but didnt say a word. He's also deleted his posts on this thread:dunno

We did settle the idea that man does NOT make a natural home, yet beavers do. However, if a beaver was used to make a combination stick & mud adobe house, it would not be natural either.:deal :lol3

    .......You had to be there

Didn't take many picts this trip.

The Ride up was great. Met goldentaco and 1Brunoj at the 580-680 junction. Road through some awesome colors on highway 88 and 89.

Heading back to camp after dinner Friday night.

    What a great not-event.

Thanks to the crew everyone who got the details sorted out. The location was great with lots of possibilities for riding and eating.

One of the best parts was the sunsets we were treated to nightly.

1brunoj, dantroop, Bike Guy, and I made the trek to Bodie and back and had some good eats at Walker Burger. The scenery and colors this year seemed better than last year. Much more colors at least.

Looking North as we are heading to Bodie.

We came across this nice little grove of Aspen up around 9000ft as we left Bodie.

    Yours truly.

Rode back out 88 and marveled at everyone taking pictures of the leaves. So I joined in.

Can't wait for the next one.

See, now this is what sucks about not making the ride... I have no idea what you're talking about. "Eating" to see some "picts"? Great, another inside joke I'll never get!

Following a much delayed departure due to a luggage issue and christening the newly hatched DR800, I met up with ItsAGS in Colombia, rode Hwy 4 over and arrived in camp around 5pm Friday afternoon. ItsAGS, HookahLatch and myself attempted dinner at StoneFly Restaurant in Markleeville, but after discovering their limited menu of just a few food items, 2 beer options, no soda, and only sparkling water, :huh we wondered over to WolfCreek Resteraunt hoping some something better. The service, though a total MILF :raabia, was exceptionally slow (or should I say non-existent) to the point that after tying to wave down a soda refill, I attempted to simply get water from the bathroom sink :deal. Friday night fireside chat, was :rofl:freaky:lol3:thumb. Saturday was ride time, and after a nice breakfast at Topaz Casino & Resteraunt myself, ItsAGS, and Hobbes rode south in search of colors.

We made our way south to Hwy 108, and started our way up the hill. Sadly, a cruiser bike rider target-fixated and failed to complete the turn and dumped himself into one of the sandy shoulders. We stopped to help and found only an injured rib and a bruised ego.

Enroute home we met up with HighCountryHerb and Kimberly in Bridgeport while looking for ItsAGS. They reported meeting the crew returning from Bodie and we made our way to meet them at Walker Burger for dinner.

Saturday night fireside chat was, again, amazing. Its pretty epic what we come up with, and how a bag of dicks, Beaver's, Adobe Mud bricks, and hot springs can really make a conversation fucking hilarious.

ZeroDarkThirty Sunday morning I was awoken by what sounded like someone banging metal. No one else was awake so I got out of my tent to see the cause of the rukus. A black-bear was making his rounds and had gotten into Treadless's 12GS, knocked it over, and was getting into his Jesse bags. Mango's and peaches were enjoyed. He began wondering down to our site and I quickly scared him way (so I though). Back to my bag I was awoken again by this prick fucking around our campsite. Getting a bit annoyed I scared him out of our site, then followed him to Taco & Hobbes site. A few rocks and pine cones ushered him into the hiside, and I though I was done playing with bears. Fuck face came back AGAIN, knocked over Iifke's Wee-Strom, and got into his soft bags. By this time, Ive got the chills and was fed up with this crap. I got out of my bag for the 3rd time, and began chucking softball sized rocks and pine-cones as this asshole. Besides JStory, the rest of the riders were either too drunk, still passed out or too scared to get out of their tents. After hitting the bear once or twice he got the hint and took off. Never to be seen or heard from again. However, Treadless did receive some damage to his bike, and his bag of dicks. :lol3

Sunday, we packed up our shit and myself, JStory and Treadless headed out.

Hwy 88 (Carson Pass) was full of color, though I didn't have enough patience to really take any amazing shots.

Arrival home sunday night was a long haul, through the heat of Sac-o-tomatoes.

Thanks to all who made this such a great event. Certainly the best so far.:clap

The campsite prices were reasonable compared to the State, even gave me the 1/2 price Old Man special.

Not having the exact amount, I contact the campground host, to tell him I was going to Markleeville and get some proper change.

I have never had one tell me before...............Don't worry about it, just put in what ever you think is right.

    I Like that place.
