As for route - that 30-40km from Whitney down to Dysart via power lines through the Park would be cool... It think it was called Hay Creek Rd.

Oh, and that 'massage parlour' thing was just an honest mistake: The guy just misunderstood what 'SHIATSU' meant!

    I'm booked.

I'll bring a couple bottles of whisky, and some kind of food for the pot luck, but I don't know what yet...I'll wait and see what's needed I guess.

I think I'm bringing the Buell this time.

Oh, that was aimed at Mike.

Maybe I'll bring my Buell, too and we'll do a Muskoka GP? :evil

As far as the route in concerned... I think folks should just self-guide themselves in smaller groups of 6 or less. :deal

If everyone who knows a good local ride brings along some info there'll be lots for folks to choose from.

Perhaps indicate if you've got a local route in mind when you commit? :dunno

    A repeat of last year's 30 bike accordian probably isn't a good idea. :D

As far as Saturday night's pot luck dinner is concerned... Surprise us! Too much organization can kill the spirit of "pot luck". :deal

BTW, Who's this Ubert guy Mike's talking aobut? :scratch :evil

Hey, I'm not organizing...I just started the thread :lol3 Ooobah had some nice stuff in his route last year...albiet a bit on the long side for some.

I agree with Lornce....the 30+ bike convoy is a bit crazy and tough to keep together. Also can draw a lot of attention from the Po Po. The Rally Raid format worked much better IMHO.

If a few people have routes in mind, perhaps we could post them and let the others decide which they want to take, or perhaps just make their own as they go. I have a preference for a bit more gravel and dirt this time.

I volunteer Robbie-O to put a route together.

    :evil

Now we just need five or six more "volunteers".

    This organization stuff is easy.

I'm with you Mike, prefer more dirty stuff.

Mix it up and surprise us. :deal

As every old road racer knows: God made gravel and dirt so the guys with little balls could have a thrill, too.

    :D

Errmmmn, that was a joke meant to rile you dirty boys into a competitive fury. That's what the smiley means.

Sorry to be late to the party, I was riding all day:clap .

I'm only going to bring one keg this year cause you Nancies couldn't even wreck the first one last year. I will require transport for the rig but I think I know someone with a big honkin pickup. Coolwife and I already have our digs booked and the babies sat so bring it on.

I will jump on some maps and see what I can come up with for a 2up route. I'm no Uber-Moto but I have been known to get good and lost.

Home is where the Beer is:freaky

Ok I just got off the phone with the catering company, boy do they have a spread planned :dg :dg :dg

We will need to provide a head count 10 days prior and they are asking for a 50% deposit at that time.

The caterers will use the kitchen as their traveling facility is somewhat limited. As such, the kitchen will be off limits on the Sat. night. A small price to pay for gourmet fare.

They offered three pricing levels for us too choose from.

    1. 8 oz Double bacon wrapped fillet, 6 oz Salmon steak, seasonal roasted vegis, three salad choices - $49.99 per head

    2. A full Prime roast beef dinner (approx 12-14oz serving), mashed garlic & butter spuds, brochette of Jumbo Shrimp, seasonal roasted vegis and smoked salmon app. - $59.99 per head

    3. Stuffed roasted pork medallions, Lobster Tail with garlic butter, 3 mushroom scented rice, seasonal vegis and Ontario smoked trout app. - $69.99 per head

Each comes with selection of deserts.

They also need us to buy one bottle of wine per every two guests. The wine is only $24 per bottle, choice of red or white VQA

    :freaky :freaky :freaky

I'll PM everyone to get your 1 & 2nd choice, we'll let the top pick be the one we go with.

I also told them we are a bunch of broke, cheap assed bikers so they reduced the 15% gratuity to 10%.

Joke? Not sure what you mean there Preacher...

I forgot an important item, they have entertainment as well. Apparently it's quite good as they book YukYuks on a regular basis. It's called the 3-Tremors, I shit you not they have three Chihuahuas that bark/sing at a high pitch to StompinTom songs. They can bring them for $299 but when must promise not to feed them beer.
