No, not since last year. Went north up from huntsville on the east side of arrowhead earlier this week, got 20km up a fire road and 5 km SE from Kearney, trails were a bit soupy, but with all the sand on the fire roads they were drained well. Hit 4 dead ends, got stopped by a ditched out road, then after a few 2ft deep bogs in an atv trail 3km long that would've brought us out onto Rain Lake rd, MrsMH and i decided it was best to head back as it started to rain around dinner time.

    This was most of it

Yeah, the boy and I did that route as the last ride of 2009. Sounds like we got as far as you did. ATV's could likely make it all the way to Kearney.

Did you sort out where you're staying?

I did it a few weekends ago. Just a couple of wet spots and that was even after some rain. I would say it's in good shape.

Work is really going to drag on today!
I'll be heading out there shortly after 6pm. Although, it's not like I have to ride very far. :D

Good - was hoping to include that as part of my route. Darren's route looks promising, too. I've only done small sections of that.

While the temps were cool, the camaraderie was hot. More fun than should be legal.:evil

Alex and I headed East to explore the outer regions of the park, penetrating deep into it's abyss and boy were we rewarded. Sadly the riding was so awesome I only took a handful of pics....

"Ya think we can make it over that one?":huh

Well done Dude's and Dudette's. That was Freakin awesome. We had so much fun we almost didn't pull out the camera.

Classic time to turn off the tanks on one of the stone chuckers:rofl . The effect wasn't instant but it did finally stall the beast after one of the tanks emptied itself.

Did someone say Ghosts? The faces and sculptures asked more questions than they answered. Unfortunately our visit was cut short and I'll need to revisit the fields full of faces. We were definitely being watched.

    Very interesting:huh

Thanks to all who came out to and enjoyed the views over the weekend. I heard plenty of great laughter, ate a ton of great food and may have even clinked a few Jam Jars and such.

Carlo, please send our best wishes Joe's way. To a speedy recovery and a patient and uderstanding Wife. Get Well Soon.

To all of our ADV friends in Afreeka that couldn't be with us this weekend. You were all missed. Ride hard and play safe.

    Colours..........that's what I'm talkin about:freaky

We think it's time for you to build a suitable day route. Maybe even lead your own group of gravel pirates next year. Start plotting there Dude.

Thanks to Dr Cool for getting my bike started Saturday morning. The Big Red Pig had a hard time firing up due to the cold. Had a great ride. Awesome food at Danny's Justa Pasta! Excellent variety at the Pot Luck! Great seeing everyone again. Can't wait for the next one. :nod
