    hey Flinders!

Caught a glimpse of the Caballero 500 the other day.

Interesting take on a "retro/enduro" theme crossed with the "scrambler" genre (similar till Ducati and Triumph).

With a bit shorter (more road oriented) suspension and a contemporary modern 450 4t single donk... it's probably gravel/trail worthy enough, coupled with that scrambler styling/appeal.... but without the 1000c streetbike weight/pricetag?

I could see them gaining acceptance in southern Europe (France, Spain, Italy) where there are in places, some interesting light terrain and gravel roads to find - in between the cafe's and brasseries.

It does have a neat "retro" (almost 70's Husky/Steve McQueen) look about it...

Does Fantic have a distributor in Oz...? Whaddya' reckon the chances of it getting down under would be...? :dunno :ear

Zero to a snowflakes chance in hell... maybe? :1drink

Almost zero chance. Something like this would be a nice alternative for us guys who are getting too old for enduro bikes and hitting gnarly trails at speed. It'd be a good Explorer™ type of bike, perhaps a lighter version of the Triumph Scrambler and similar bikes. Apparently it's around 150kg.

The "E" version of the Caballero looks neat too (a bit dirt tracker style) :thumbup

... but why the "gas tank"...? :scratch :norton :lol2

Doesn’t look much like my old Fantic trials bike?
Still looks the goods, I’d try one!
