Thanks for that update about Luke.
It's too bad we never got a chance to reconcile the rift between us, perhaps that isn't necessary after all.

Damn, I just got the news about Luke. I don't hang in the basement too much these days, but I knew him well from Hacks. He was a great guy and helped many a n00b get their first hack. He will be missed.

I didn't know him but I am always saddened when someone with the same interests as me leaves the discussion... RIP Luke.

I'll certainly miss his visits to the DR thread. Always sad to lose a friend, whether we ever met in the real world or not.

    RIP

Luke helped me and Buck go from a garage queen to a fully functioning side car rig. He also did his best to keep us in line when we got a bit uppity!

I really appreciate you Aussie boys jumping on this thread. We get another prospective on the man who filled Luke's shoes really well. Unfortunately we never got to meet him in the flesh though he invited us more then once.

Iv'e said it before and will again it's really great to see someone who is really comfortable in his own boots. That truly was what made Luke special. Yet he always made time to some of the stupid questions uttered by me and buck.

While I really don't drink "Jack" I can guarantee you me and Buck will toss down a couple of drinks in Luke's honor in the appropriate time and place.

I don’t know how he found or why he visited us on the DR650 thread but I always enjoyed his contributions. Sad to hear he’s gone.

    RIP, Luke. :(

I never a said much on his Thread but I checked it regularly. His knowledge and discussions on how stuff works and his straight forward way of telling what he knew, left no doubt in my mind that he was right. It felt like FR had time for any question as long as it wasn't just to hear yourself talk. He didn't tolerate fools easily.

It always made me laugh when he began a comment with "for fucks sake". I knew whatever followed would be educational and entertaining.

It felt like I was having fun when reading his stuff. Seems he knew that's what it's supposed to be a about.

His absence feels sudden and unexpected. He is missed.

    RIP Leprecan King.
