Great post! I love taking both my daughters on rides, though we have as of yet to make a long trip. Beautiful countryside you have there.

Thanks for a look at a country I'm not familiar with. Ericka's now an adventurer; better warn her it can be addictive!

Hey SuperChuck, I was in the same position your are now. When Ericka was just a few months old I was determine to share the joy of two wheels with her, I hope it sticks.

I plan on doing a similar trip with my youngest daughter soon too, but this time I might do it sooner than I did it with Ericka. I somewhat regret waiting this long to make trip. It would be perfect if you and I managed to do it before they're in its teens. I guess it would me more cooler. I hope you know what I mean..

    Regards,

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy it. I usually taken them on weekend morning rides to have breakfast to some nice place in the country too. And I if allowed to share some advice with you, do take them on such a trip and don't wait too long, is easier and more special if they're younger (in the 10 o 11). ;-)

How old is your younger daughter? My daughter is 9, not too sure how much time/distance I could cover with her. My thought is to take short trips for ice cream, pizza, etc to get her used to it.

My youngest would be 11 in July, and I would like to taker later this year if I feel we can do it safely. And yes, small trips are key to build resistance and measure her stamina before making any decisions.

I would also thinking about making the trip 2 nights/ 3 days to allow for shorter distances each day..

Every day with your daughter should be cherished as I am sure you do. My daughter grew up it seems like overnight. She will graduate college in May. I have loved every minute of raising her.
    Good for you.

Great report. If I took my little girl on my motorcycle, my wife would probably divorce me :) Great to see that you enjoy your love for adv. riding with your little girl. Thanks for sharing.
