We had such a great turnout last year with about 100 bikes so we thought we should do it again!

    Dual Sport Desert Daze
    Rodeo Weekend - February 24-27
    Dragoon, Arizona

We'll be at the wonderful Triangle T Guest Ranch once more!

They have unlimited tent space, along with RV and cabin options, plus bathrooms, showers and a saloon/bar in easy stumbling distance.
Tent camping is $20.75/night including a spectacular breakfast with BACON! :dg

---If you are tent camping, you do not need to call the ranch and reserve, just show up!---

Friday night will be a hot dog cookout!
Saturday night we'll have a live band and dancing!

There's some really wonderful riding out around Dragoon and incredible rock formations.

Tons of dirt (and some great street) to go around, for all kinds of bikes and levels of experience, so bring what you got! :ricky

Last year we got hit with some poor weather on Sunday, but typically it's pleasant in late February with lows in the 30's and highs in the 60's.

Shirts available for order here: LINK

There will definitely be a raffle, thanks to donations from our sponsors!

This go 'round should be just as good if not better than last time... The group that did the ride on the border road was a lot of fun.

tons of routes to ride, lots of friendly folks... definitely worth attending.

Great, here are some shots from last years Aravipa/San Pedro valley loop via the Rug Road.(solo)

I'll be working on eliminating some assphalt and adding more dirt to this ride over the next few weeks.

Maybe this year if I ride it at least one rider might join me. :evil

Is there much happening Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday? I work Friday and Saturday morning that weekend. Was really hoping to make it this year.

I'll add you two! And no, not "again", RavenRanger put it together last year. I had foolishly assumed that since I hadn't heard much since this recent accident Raven wouldn't be up for doing it again this year and I totally hijacked the event. :shog

edit: I spoke to Raven and we decided to team up on making this happen!

Eep! Yeah it was pointed out to me that I didn't have the dates correct. It should be thursday through Sunday, February 24-27th. I'll ask a mod to change the title.

There's always stuff happening - there's likely to be a cook-out and raffle Saturday evening and, assuming it isn't snowing, at least some folks will ride on Sunday!

That's what sick leave is for. Around late February I suspect many people will come down with the DualSportFever. It renders one bike ridden and unable to work for approximately four days. The only known treatment is traveling at high speed through the cool desert air. :lol3

Yep thats what everyone says...its too bad I don't have a job that has sick leave or at least someone else in the position to cover for me. I'm it, and considering I get the weekend before off for Presidents Day its a no-can-do. My vacations either get scheduled around the college calendar or not scheduled at all. :cry

Hopefully I can at least get down there on a decent time Saturday!

Thats great, I am looking forward to a few rides in central Arizona around January, as well as expanding my SE inventory. I am really enjoying the KLX400!

Everything is squared away with the ranch. They said they'd do the same $20/night camping+breakfast deal for us again this year. :)

We don't want to impose a hefty registration fee, but a small donation would help us promote the event and buy hot dogs and such.

The website is still getting updated for 2011, but donations can be made there at www.dualsportdesertdaze.com

    Cheers!

Wishing my DRZ was not dead/parted out. :bluduh

Though if there are any easy dirt roads in the area, I may come down on my K75. Need some good camping and would love to meet the Tucson crew. So how about it, are street-ish bikes welcome? :D
