My older daughter scored a job there as a pastry chef. She said the food is great.

Yeah, ALMOST. I think the ride would have been a bit much for you, though. You know, now that you're so much older and all.

Looks like you guys had fun. Would have made it out to say hey if I would have seen the post sooner. Found it after getting off work at noon and riding home in the rain. I make the trip out to the cafe for a couple beers probably 3-5 times a year. Hopefully I'll catch it next time.

Just a few pics of what the less brave missed on St. Patrick's Day ride to Parkfield:

    Time for breakfast:
Time to go (I should have put on these damn rain pants before I left)
    Let's Go!
    Wet!
    Wetter!
Down the road (Why is there a fish in the tree?)
The sky clears (slightly) and the road narrows. Beautiful!
    Why are they stopping?
Something about low gas :eek1 Naw, we'll make it. Carry on!
    Gas up!
...and head out. Just a few more miles to go.
This can't be the right road. (actually it was, so we turned around after drifting off a bit)
Parfield Cafe Dude greets the first to arrive

Then a few minutes later the crew from the south arrives :clap

It really wasn't all that bad. It's just water, after all. It washes off. I've seen it happen :deal

The wind gave more of a test than the rain. Well, and the hail, but thankfully there wasn't much of that. I hate riding on ball bearings.
