These are from January when the temps were around 70 degrees. The bike is an 88 KLR 250. Just enough power to get me around and gets 73 mpg! Kernsville Dam, looking west. As a kid, we used to slide down these falls. Couldn't pay me enough to do it again. Graveyard on a road leading to the state game lands behind Port Clinton, PA. (Behind Hermy's BMW) Other side of Kernsville Damn looking north. Kernsville Damn, looking east. On the dirt roads behind Kernsville Dam Spooky shack past the parking lot for the Kernsville Dam picnic area. State game lands trail off of Mountain Road in Tilden Township. Really nice ride to the top of the mountain. Great views. This is looking South. Coming down the trail, you can find this grove by turning right instead of heading back to the road. This is the firetower road thats about a mile past Port Clinton off the north bound lane. Looking North. These are from today. A toasty 35 degrees up here in PA! This is off a road behind Auburn, PA. I think it's the first left immmediately as you come to town. Some huge ice chunks that beached themselves on the banks of the stream.
I'm about 5 hours from Pittsburgh. I go to school up here in State College, so I gotta find some roads to ride here.
Those are great roads to ride. I was in the gamelands behind Hermy's back in October. Thanks for the pictures, Ryan
Ya, that pic is from the gamelands off of mountain road. The one behind Hermy's you can't ride in. At least that I know of. Beautiful rides up there. Do you know of any dirt roads around that are similar?
You're right, that is off of Mountain Road, I was thinking that that was all the same stretch of land. There are quite a few but none of them are very long. You have to piece them together as you wander around the area. These maps are pretty good if you don't already have them. http://www.dot.state.pa.us/Internet/Bureaus/pdPlanRes.nsf/infoBPRCartoCountyType10?OpenForm Good luck, ryan
