Hienoja kuvia. Minulla on ikävä Suomea
Missäs sitten olet...? Itävalta/Tsekki?
Tsekissä. Olen asunut Helsingissä vuonna 2012, mutta olen kotoisin Itävallasta.
Good photos and gives me some ideas for rides here. Kiitos.
I married my wife in Kuopio, I live in Helsinki..
It is too early to say Hyyva Joulua so I will say Hyvaa Paivaa, with dots
Well, that's the main idea of our pages - give riding hints and show pics of places to see, but also just give good feeling for readers. (Kuopio we have visited a few times and Lauttasaari - that's where I spent my childhood...)
Actually, this is a kind of a celebration day as we now have had 2 million page loads. Yes we know, it's nothing compared to many others, but for us it's a lot. It means that we have been giving useful tips for some and just good feelings for some others. Here is not a road trip story but a "celebration post" - it's getting cold here in Finland, better stay more inside near by the fire with someone you care, like your bike... Finally time to check more of the pics of the last Summer trips... we had one tour above all others, we were riding North, West and South. Even Norway and the Arctic See. Too much for one story so we have split the ride in four parts.
In this First part of this "In search of Eden" we ride to the north, staying first one night at middle of this country with ruins of an old castle and then to the wilder areas. Next parts are coming later... but I think even this first part has too many pics!
Whole Part 1 story and pics here: http://www.vanhamoto.net/2016/11/edenia-etsimassa-osa-1-kuohuvaa.html (Hidden pics, too, for open minded people - all other pics are suitable for all )
The translator on the upper right corner is poor but I hope you will get some idea of what's going on.
The second part will probably come tomorrow, pics of Lapland and Norway/Arctic See
Alright, lets ride to Lapland and Arctic see... Part 2 in search of Eden
Story and pics: http://www.vanhamoto.net/2016/11/edenia-etsimassa-osa-2-lappi-norjassa.html (no hidden pics this time)
And some pics:
In the middle of the night, Sun is shining from the north. Just a bit cloudy otherwise it would be like in the daylight
PART 3 of this "In search of Eden" -tour... now riding back from the Arctic See. Visiting and seeing many nice places and then some cottage-time in Southern Finland. Viivi ridin nude, that seemed to interest the neighbours. Strange.
Story and pics (hidden pics are dots at the end, may be disturbing for some): http://www.vanhamoto.net/2016/11/edenia-etsimassa-osa-3-tunnelma-ei-saa.html
Great pics!! Thanks for showing us a beautiful part of the world. Cheers.
No riding but Christmas is coming and people give and get gifts... we made a Christmas -calendar, this was the first pic. No one can guess whats inside...
http://www.vanhamoto.net/2016/12/hyvaa-joulua.html Hyvää Joulua = Merry Christmas
Tasteful and colorful. Your blog is very impressive also. Merry Christmas from us here in the hollows of Appalachia, USA.
Then where are you (living)? Austria/Czech?
Finnish is easy, isn't it?
You have a gorgeous wife and lovely scenery! I need to visit Finland!
Welcome! Right now this country is a rather dark place to visit... in Northern Finland Sun doesn't rise at all and daytime isn't very long here either, just 6 hours. But when the Summer comes...
Thanks! I've got lovely wife but I've also got serious heart problems...
Hope your heart problems will pass and thank you for these gergeous pics, was search threads on Finalnd as I plan to ride to your country coming summer. Greetings for Poland!
Welcome to Finland! Routes with pics are collected on this page: http://www.vanhamoto.net/p/ajoreitteja.html
Unfortunately my heart problems will pass when I pass... but as long as I can ride, I will live! :)
Riding is one of the best heart medicines..
A lot of your beautiful pics have likeness to places I have ridden in British Columbia... I grew up in a Finnish community in B.C. and have a lot of relatives in Finland that I will probably never meet, but it is nice to see pictures from there.. When I was young there was more Finnish spoken in Sointula than English, but times have changed and few there speak it nowadays: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sointula
That's really interesting! It would be easy to fly over here!
