Welcome back, I am looking forward to more Viivi pics. !...j.f.
Beautiful country! Sometimes I wonder my grandparents left, but I guess if they didn't, I wouldn't be me.
Winter is still here but were getting ready for the spring and rides - to get more ride repots! Mr MyTime's bikes are getting service at the moment but all Viivi had to do was washing her bike. She got that idea while she was dressed for a totally different situation. First she got shampoowater on her new leather skirt and and the only spare-skirt in the car was short. Very short. On the other hand, that incident caused some great unplanned pics!
The new leather skirt needed to be replaced...
...with this skirt.
There were naturally some other people getting in and out in that big garage (a bomb shelter actually) so they probably had a good time!
More of that here with pics and text (use the translator on the upper right corner): http://www.vanhamoto.net/2017/02/kevatta-valmistellessa.html
(and at the end of the story there are four tiny dots - links to pics only for very openminded people!)
Riding season is about to begin here, too. Above Viivi is getting her "Dolly" ready for the season, now it was myt time. Our beloved "Viivi II" had some electrical issues last October and I had to ride it to one of our friend, who is a real guru when it's about 36 year old Honda CX. Now it was the time to get her back home again. Temperature was +0 to +1 C (about 33 F) and first roads were slippery. Then the bigger roads were mostly dry and the more south I rode, the warmer it was. At home it was already almost +6 C / 42 F degrees. When I get my BMW from service (hopefully as soon as possible!), then we are ready!
The guy who fixed "Viivi II" is giving the bike back to me
Finland is still a bit frozen
The beloved "Viivi II", bike for my "Sunday rides"
Sure doesn't look 35, and I hear they run forever. Glad you got her back.
It has been a very, very poor Spring here in Finland. Still unusually cold and we had snow yesterday! But now we are celebrating the 1st of May, the biggest carnival day around here. Viivi wanted to celebrate too, and some pics taken to our site. So we quickly took a couple of pics.
This "celebration pic" and just a couple of pics here: http://www.vanhamoto.net/2017/04/hauskaa-vappua.html Hopefully we soon could really start our season and make some adventures and post something better!
We have had a poor spring here in the North of Minnesota as well. Snow is forecast tomorrow. Hoping for a warmer May. Your terrain in Finland is similar to ours but we are not near the sea. Thanks for sharing your passions!
So glad spring is here and you folks have survived the winter.
Just found this. Great pictures and report.
is there good camping along the roads you were on?
Well, there are camping area's around everywhere and as far as we know, they are usually clean and nice. But we hate sleeping in a tent so we choose cabins or hotels or something with a shower...
Uh, ah, ...........following.
It has been a cool and wet spring over here in Canada as well. I haven't even put the plates on my bikes yet...
Great pictures!! Viivi is beautiful!!
I enjoyed viewing your website as well.
Thanks for sharing.
Well, we haven't been reporting here lately... a few trips behind.
This was the first one, titled "Along the river curves, scenery and cuisine". Following a river and looking views and sights and living in an interesting hotel.
(Hidden pics of "curves" chosen by Viivi after the last pic as usual for those who want to see.)
A really nice small hotel - an ex-palace of a former big shot
Weel, season 2017 is turning to fall and not much ride reports here... so this was one trip in Spring
Whole story and pics, and some hidden pics as usual in the end: Oma Aika: Jo Karjalan kunnailla lehtii puu...
Great report! Thanks for sharing!
The lovely Viivi as gorgeous as always ! Keep the pics. coming !...j.f.
Has to be said, your wife is HOT! Does she have an older sister?
Unfortunately no sisters, just brothers...
