I thought maybe they were confusing it with Newfoundland...

I went out there for a week the end of last summer and it hardly seemed long enough. Saw just enough to want to go back. The Cabot Trail is a MUST do-both ways. One of the wives wanted to go on a whale watch out of Meat Cove-it was neat, but it cut into the riding time :cry
Check the race schedules for Schubinacadie Race track. There are vintage TT races the weekend of July 9-10.
The Cat from Bar Harbor is a neat ride and you can leave the vehicle and trailer there safely.. I am going continue over to NF this summer and will start the first leg from Portland on the overnight run on the Scotia Prince. Arrive at 8:00 in the AM and you have the full day ahead of you. The Digby area was enjoyable as well as Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg. Halifax has some pretty good nightlife. If you like history, Fortress Louisburg is interesting, but waaaay out there.
I look forward to seeing my kids in Atlanta in a couple of weeks-snowing here right now :vardy :vardy :vardy
