Still in. Thanks for the update.
Due to my brain fart blunder of forgetting 2/14 was V day, this ride has been rescheduled to 2/21.
I love seeing these pictures of local roads I ride from time to time. You guys are posting stuff I don't know and I have rode a lot of Florida back roads. I live in S FL but spend many weekends in the Crystal River area.
I might be on this.
Anybody recognize where the picture was taken? Pretty high rated motorcycle road in Florida.
I am up for a ride many weekends.
Since you seem to like people jumping in here and adding content. I will throw up some pictures of my back roads Florida rides. No particular order.
I believe you were on the Ozella Trail headed to Popes?
NW, that was my first guess also.
Yep, Ozello trail.
Popes? Do you mean Pecks? I am not familiar with a Popes on the Ozello trail.
The second post pictures were scattered all over Florida.
Yep pecks sorry, I have a popes I go to also.
Hey Nokkon Wud, is your avatar an actual burger that can be bought? And if so, where? It looks awesomely delicious.
Is the Green Swamp ride still on for this Sunday?
It's a go. Updated forecast late today shows sunny and 70 degrees for this Sunday. 9am Citco gas station Hwy 301 and Chancey Rd.
See you there.
Stop by, I'll make you one just like it!
Just found your thread this morning...I would like to join you today but I have to go to Apopka for a family visit. I am currently living in Palmetto. I will keep up with this thread for your next ride if that is OK with you.
Come join us on any Sunday. Today we did the Green Swamp Loop. Epic ride. Report soon.
Just a bit chilly as I rolled the scooter out of the garage. Bought a new high vis cold weather jacket a few weeks ago, time to put it to the test. Installed flannel PJ bottoms into my riding jeans for some added insulation. Low 50's as I hit 6th for the first time today. Left way early and took the slower back roads to keep my speeds down. Met the fellas at 9 sharp. We did the Green Swamp loop and had lunch at Poncho's Villa in San Antonio. This place is the real deal TexMex.
Weather was perfect. We rode on every asphalt surface you can imagine. From fresh black top to hundred year old horse trails covered with something hard. 177 miles of smiles. Can't wait to do it again.
Looks like you guys had a good ride. Hopefully I can make the next one.
I had to stay home and repair my fence this weekend. I would rather be riding.
I am planning more rides for the upcoming weekends. This Sunday we can do the 41 south Sicilian Pizza Tail of the Gecko loop....or maybe the Bartow Buggie ride with lunch at Beef's.
It was a great ride with good riders. Looking forward to next Sunday!
