That looks like it was a good time! I'm across the state from you guys in Melbourne, but I might try to make it out to join a ride one of these weekends.

Showed a friend the back way from Clearwater up to Springlake Rd/SR50 by Brooksville. What a great day to let the Goose stretch its wings.

I had a dead battery this morning even though it is always on a tender. Rats. Stock battery, 3 years old, I should have already replaced it, my bad. Called the fellas, can't make our 9am date. Found a Easton AGM battery at a local auto parts store. Swap and go. On the road at noon. Headed 640 east from Brandon to check out a few new roads that look good on the map. Found a couple awesome new stops to put on my future loops. Weather was epic. Google "Homeland Heritage Park" and "Heritage Peace River Landing" Enjoy.

Just found this thread. I'm in. I've been riding out in the Floral City, Inverness, Brooksville, Dade City area for years. Can't wait for the Hernando ride.

So I'm a scratch on the Trans Florida for this Saturday with a 70% rain chance forecasted. Sunday looks sunny and not too hot. Are you guys riding anywhere? I would like to.

@UncleFappy I'm out for anything this weekend. However, Monday wife is going to kick me outta the house since she works from home and I apparently make too much noise. I'm going to pack the KLR and ride/camp around relatively close to Tampa (within 2/3 hours). No agenda. I want to check out green swamp west, flying eagle, Citrus, Chassahowitzka.

Suches is my favorite place on earth. Absolutely the best street/dual sport riding that's not too far from home.

Thought so by your pics. I have a KLR for street stuff. A wr250r for dirt stuff and a 1700 Vaquero for doo rag, chained wallet, riding 15 minutes from bar to bar stuff

Today's ride took me south down Hwy 41 for some coastal twisties. Lots of fellow riders enjoying another perfect day in our back yard playground. Gulf City has some sweet 4th gear sweepers that challenge your skills to see how fast you want to go. Cockroach Bay is a nice stop to watch the local anglers launch their 40K toys. Port Manatee has a sweet little spot that is just spectacular. On your way out, bright green sand mounds make you wonder what planet this stuff came from. Right turn into Bishop Harbor and another trip through some local 2 lane salty curvy asphalt and more awesome local roads through Terra Ceia with a stop at a centuries old Post Office. Lunch was a fresh warm pretzel with yellow mustard at WaWa's. Life is good.

Awesome pictures. I'm a new rider over by Lakewood Ranch, sounds like I need to explore the Terra Ceia area.

Lots of great riding not too far from you. Google: "Tail of the Gecko" and "Agricola Mine Rd".

Today's ride was most excellent thanks to tips I got from a local Adv'er. I clicked 1st at 7am just before sunrise (time change). 54 chilly degrees as I ponder turning around to put on a few more layers. Naw, I'll be fine. Headed north from Brandon through 2 lane country roads all the way up to Hwy 50. There were a few low spots (dips) in Spring Lake Rd that made my lips quiver. No kidding the temp would drop 20 degrees in 3 seconds as you reached the bottom of the dip and made your way out to warmer air. A new experience for me for sure. I met the fellas at 9 sharp. Headed north from the Speedway through some of the best Florida has to offer. This was all new tar for me. Epic to say the least.
