Hey, I'm not saying they don't have a proud history. But it's going waaay too far to say they've dominated college football for 50 years. The ten year stretch I cited knocks a healthy 20% off that claim. And they had a few bad years between Wilkinson and Switzer too, you know. :evil

They have a proud program. But let's not go overboard.

:nod It was an excellent game (since I'm a longtime Chelsea fan!)

Drogba's a strong lad. On both goals he shrugged off challenges. Watch the highlights if you can, the second one's an adventure and testimony to his strength. I've been a doubter about him, clumsy I thought, but today the best qualities of his game were on full display.

:lol3 yeah, it was a bit of a scrappy game for a "friendly" but his second goal was worth the price of admission.

...mugged from behind, rugby tackled by Liehmann, then spinning off balance with his back to goal...shows what he capable of. I just wish he'd get on with the game instead of going to ground and play acting evertime his feelings get hurt.

Looks like another good season ahead though, Chelsea look very cohesive :thumb

They sure do. :nod And what depth, some of their substitutes were better than the starters!

They'll have a hard time beating Chelsea down the long haul, but Arsenal didn't beat them into second, ManU gave it to 'em. I'd like to think this upcoming season will be a bit different, they've got some young 'uns stepping and taking the torch, lets not forget they were also without their Ruud for most of the season and Saha was a non-event...a Rooney hatrick next week against The Toffees will get things off on the right foot :evil
