Her first ride yesterday. Said her favorite part was going sideways in the turns. Insisted we go out again today even though it was 96.

After a couple hundred miles of that she sat on the back bc her little buddy was in the sidecar. That was it. She wouldn’t get back in the sidecar. She’s been riding behind me ever since. She’s 7 now. I love being her dad.

Our first ride was many years ago on my goldwing, then fewer years ago in reno she was on her own bike. Two years ago I got her a kdx50 which she outgrew quickly and this year a ttr125. Now shes into stunting and freestyle and is taking lessons from a guy in Tijuana. I get to go home this weekend and watch her train. Cant wait. IMG-20190424-WA0000.jpg 20190526_163412.jpg

one of the best things I did when raising my daughter was show her how to do oil changes and change tires for herself, she went on to do more and more on the farm, and for a while I thought she was going to school to be a mechanic, but changed her major.

Mine would help me in the garage when she was young, really just to be together. Now that she's grown and on her own, there's no way she does more than change air filters and such, but Heaven help any shop who tries to feed her a line of bull.

My eldest daughter is back in MN for a short time, which just happened to coincide with my annual MC trip with my college buddy! My buddy and I are always looking for something new so this year we decided to head north till the pavement ended. Ontario Highway 599 ends just north of Pickle Lake, the furthest North and west you can ride pavement in Ontario. 51 Degrees N 29 Minutes and the pavement turns to granular. My daughter had a great time, talking with locals and First Nations people, making reservations from her phone and taking the lead during a downpour when there was no place to hunker down. Two ol' Boomers sure learned a lot from the Millenial! Her CX500 sure ran nice on Canadian low lead! Capture.PNG

Ok, I have to ask, what's with the salute? There has to be a story behind it.
