I just shared a .gpx file for a loop thru the Pembina Hills that I put together. This is local knowledge gleaned from Charlie, and Carl & Deb hosting/guiding rides (BIG Thnx!) There are lots of cool things to see in the Pembina and Tiger Hills. Feel free to add to that thread, pics, places to go, things to see in the area.

That pic is from Google Streetview, I had a good look at it from a few angles, can see tracks on the side from quads, etc. I'll go check it out. Looks like you can ride right up on top... to the dizzying height of 411M ASL. Wpg is 279. It looks like you just take road 20N in?

Was that the site of the Manitoba Moto Hill Climbs?

The hill climb was a couple ok kilometres north. Spent a few Sunday afternoons trying to make my xl250 climb that hill. Some of today’s aches and pains are courtesy of theMt Nero motocross track in the 70s.

Here is a pic of me picking up my 1977 Can Am 250 MX3 at the Miami mx track at Mt Nebo....after a crash right at the top.
This was during the Manitoba Motorcycle Club annual 50 lapper

This bike is very collectible now. It got it's fame by being considered by many as the worst mx bike of all time....lol

GWN, Mount Nebo is a pretty cool place. I started riding there in 1977, when we moved off the Farm to Morden. I bought a new Kawasaki dirt bike, and a handful of us teenagers would push our bikes out of town, and then gravel road it up to Nebo...great times!

Our place where we live now, is less than 3 miles from Nebo, and I ride my Kawasaki up there a few times a year, lol...

"GWN, Mount Nebo is a pretty cool place." I don't believe you - you will have to show us! :rofl

I sure enjoy those rides in the hills - those elevation changes and curvy roads look pretty interesting compared to the "flats". I saw the pics you posted in the Pembina Hills & Valley thread - nice! More of that!

Kawasakis... I'm up to 4 KLRs again. Carl, maybe you could use another (hopped up) KLR? Might be one for sale this spring.

Another neat place to check out, an oddity on the prairies, the Portage sandhills:

Ha! Mount Nebo! I rode there a lot too, on a Z50, then CR60 (remember those), then RM80, then KX80. By the time I got to 125’s and 250’s it was abondoned. Definitely was a cool place in the early 1990’s. The 80’s were even better from what I was told.

You fellas ever go down to Fordville, ND for the annual July 4th hill Climb? Good times there too.

Never been but, but looked it up last night and watched some Youtube of the Climb, never knew about it. Do they still do this on July 4th?

I think I ended up watching about an hour of Hill Climbing...Thanks YouTube!

Maybe a Manitoba Mountain Tour is in order for next year. There must be 4 or 5 locations that could provide for some type of photo view.
Maybe a nearby camping spot or a nice mom and pop hotel at a reasonable price.

Not many people ride a Nebo anymore. Its REAL SLICK on the track when wet and you may not even get far off the gravel road and wonder why you even tried. Real sticky dirt also when wet. So just go for it. I was never there much. We had our own trails in the Valley south of Morden.
