Speaking of pre dropped. Today I fixed something on my '08 KLR that's been bugging me since I got it in 2014 or so.

The SW Motech bars were uneven to start with, and they got worse by being function-tested a few times on the left side.

Was in the middle of some other work where I had the fairing lower panels off - so I laid the bike down on the right side, stuck a 6' bar through the left hand side bar, got a handy 200 lb kid to sit on the bike, and LIFTED.

Bent the bar right back into shape. Nice and symmetrical now. Until next time.

    HA!
When I first got my current bike, my wife and I went to NFLD on it. We were out hiking one day and when it was time to go, she ran to the bike, hopped on and pretended she was riding it, making motorcycle nosies and taunting me. It was on a small slope and when she shifted her weight to the right, the bike started to go. The look on her face went one from one of pure joy while teasing me to one of sheer horror as she dumped the bike on its side. I can still see it in slow motion.
And yes, we are still together...the bike and I. I have no idea what happened to her, and have told the police as much.

When I get a "new to me" bike I make sure it's one of the first things I do.
You see ads all the time "never been dropped" .. poor neglected thing ...
    but .. I can't rescue them all....

Heading East today. Maybe I'll see some of you on the road. Watch for '08 KLR with ridiculously large windshield.

How Far East. Was thinking White Shell, but on a long weekend? Think I’ll hit Eagle River, south to FF then back up. Good long loop on a beauty day.
    Stay safe all.

Well, 4 of us went out to sandilands. Water was forded, mud was flung, hills were climbed, and no bikes were dropped. None of us had riden together before, and we had a blast. Sure hope we can do again soon. Thanks Zappa, Sniper, and MFS for helping with my quest to learn sand riding. I was really happy with today

Looks like a good time. Did I see one of you (GS at Deacon's) on the way out?

I put on about 350k, Pinawa Whitemouth and some gravel pit trails around Elma.

Hey. There were 2 groups at Deacons around noon. One crew was going to Kenora, and we went to Sandilands. How was your ride?

Looks like everyone did some awesome riding so far this weekend

We spent 2 nights in Tulabi Falls campground. Awesome riding in that nopiming area!!

The owner of Nopiming lodge questioned me about fitting two bundles of wood on the bike.. 20200517_140523.jpg 20200516_192640.jpg 20200515_174033.jpg
