    Is the tower still there? Haven't been for 3 yrs. Baldy that is. some safety ..... will have it taken down soon if it is still there.
    Some pretty lakes, and dusty gravel.
    Stayed at the "organized" campground at Madge and it was full of pickup truck yahoos blowing wknd steam.
    and pit toilets were disgusting .. what did I pay for?
    on a seperate unrelated note;
    I hope there is a special ring in hell for RVrs that not so carefully dump their blackwater bucket/trolleys at the biffs.

    I've no idea if the tower is still standing. It wasn't in great shape when we were there. There are lots of messy campers - walk around Birds Hill campground after a long weekend! More and more I'm a fan of more remote self registration type campgrounds, but where there's zero supervision, sometimes that's where the rowdy redneck crowd go to party. Best camping I find is during the week!

    When does the one with your name on it arrive? Looks very good with you piloting it! I think it's got a couple more ponies than the KLR.

    Nice bike! That trailmax mixtour is a better looking tire than the trailmax D609 on my '20 nc. Deeper, more aggressive, tread.

    On that Africa Twin I bought recently, I swapped out the stock Bridgestone Battlax (BT-46?) for a Mitas E-07+. The Battlax was great on pavement for sure, but the Mitas is much better on dirt & gravel, and longer wearing too - look at the difference in tread depth - only 300 kms on that (150/70-18) stock tire. PM me if interested in that (make me a reasonable offer).

    Was looking at the (impressive!) specs, comparing that Pan America against the competition. Here this review says priced at $21K? https://driving.ca/reviews/preview/first-look-2021-harley-davidson-pan-america-1250

    You could buy a nice KTM 1090/1190/1290 for that, and it would have a 21" front, 18" rear, longer travel suspension, etc. Key point, that HD Pan America engine has 13:1 compression ratio, needs premium fuel... as does the KTMs.

    In a world full of beautiful motorcycles, why would HD make that Pan America so ugly (IMO)!? :confused

    Edit... I think one really has to measure the HD Pan America against this:

    Dust .. yeah .. but what it needs is some tank "patina", over aggressive brake skids work for me.
    and some hand/lever guards
    Modern bikes are such amazing pieces of engineering kit!

    You'd better not watch this then. This Scottish guy is very entertaining!

    I'm maybe not quite as over-the-top about the AT as that guy, but I am impressed so far. It's much better on gravel than the KLR, more solid feeling, more confidence inspiring. I've a few niggles with it, nothing major... I've not ridden a gazillion other adventure type bikes (like @Mark96 ), so can't compare, but I'm very happy so far. I replaced the suggestion of a windscreen with a proper one:

    CTC does online. Just checked, for me in urban Ontario, est. shipping to me for a $3.99 pack of those is $4.99. Not horrible, not great. I wouldn't bother, but I can do curb-side pickup. When I had a V-Strom, I found that they were fairly commonly used on cars, and some auto-supply places had them. Might be worth checking around.
