I have whatever Garmin has for that area, and just a small cross-country ski trail map I downloaded somewhere.

Looks like both garmins maps topo canada and regular canada show roads going to Whitemouth lake. The ski trail map I have wouldn't show anything like that.

Dumdog...sorry I missed you. I was down in the narrows about 1:00 yesterday afternoon for a coffee. It's less than an hour from home. Wish I'd read your post Friday night! Lunch at Totem would have worked.
    Next time....

Greg - I talked to a sunburnt fellow at work today. He was at Whitemouth all weekend.

Friday folks were catching their limit in a couple hours (walleye). Sunday they were skunked. Sounds like a nice little lake. He was saying you can really only fish from shore by the free boat launch. Do you know of any other places? :ear

Taking the little Bandit into Formula Zuke for the first service Wed at 11:00. Finally, the rain has stopped. Really hard to get the first 1000 kms on the wee critter. Now, it's just annuals and oil changes.
    Dumdog, and/or Greg....wanna do lunch?

    Hey everyone,
Due to a couple of requests I'm changing this run slightly. Instead of running Friday Sat, Sun We'll start Saturday morning July 11th, run half way to Bisset on Provincial road 304. Camp overnight along Black's Lake maybe. Then spend Sunday going to Bisset and exploring that area. If anyone wants to head home Sunday afternoon they can take the pavement back to town. If we decide to spend another night then we can.

Let me know if you're in so I know how many are coming and we can plan for food etc.

Hi guys - new to the board, and a new Wpg KLR'er (black '09). Got my bike couple months back but tough finding time to ride lately (just passed 500km yesterday :huh). Hope to meet up with you guys sometime.

I've carved out 4-5 free hours on Saturday afternoon (fathers day present to me). I'd appreciate suggestions on where to ride - looking for trails to get lost on and find my way back with my GPS... :ricky

    Great weather eh? bout time....

    Welcome....

A Great place to spin the tires and use your GPS is the Sandi Lands. Head east of Richer, take "fire road 13 north, this will lead onto a number of roads. The Richer Trout Ponds are in this area, so what for the traffic.

South of the Trans Canada from Richer East offers a number of fire roads and logging roads.

West of Carman will take you onto the escarpment.... lots of old pits and two railway grades. (Stubble Jumper and Calan818 know this area well)

    Enjoy
