This thread is for suggestions on improvements to the forum from both appearance and usability perspectives. If you have a question on how to do something in the forum, please check the XenForo Transition FAQ thread first as many of your questions will have already been asked and answered there. :thumb

Some of you love the new look of the forum. Others, not so much. While I understand the reason for the change in platform, I don't understand why some things had to move around.

Originally I had written add-ons for Firefox and Chrome to "fix" some of the things that I didn't like. That was just a band-aid and sometimes a little flaky, especially when the management changes the forum styles themselves to tweak things here and there.

Many of the original tweaks from my add-ons have now been implemented within the forum styles themselves. Going forward, I've been given permission to make some changes directly to the forum styles in an effort to help reduce the burden on Baldy to keep everyone happy (like that's even possible in the first place :rofl).

That said, this thread is for your suggestions on how we can make the forum easier to use. Obviously, I can't make any promises, but we'll certainly take serious suggestions seriously and implement those that are practical given the development effort and overall benefit involved. :deal

Nice work! Sometimes it's the little things. Any desire to make one in a greasemonkey script or extension for Firefox? :evil

on the old forum , while using Google Chrome there was a extention that would hide all the post except for the original poster. Is there something like that here?

Not yet. I may try to work that into this, but this new forum is a lot more sophisticated and does not lend itself to that type of manipulation as easily as the old one did.

So how do I get it to show the latest posts first instead of last? Don't see the option in preferences as before

You can change that on your Personal Details page. It's called "Custom Title" and it's right below where you can change your avatar.

Yes, but inside the Category Board Headers. I would like to have the individual unread thread listings show up a contrasting color. And yes, I am using Black Reponsive (Orange).

Edit: I guess that is what you already have done here.

That's what I was getting. I didn't look to see if it downloaded or not. :lol3 I'll go check.

    It won't download now, either.

I just tried both methods. Nada. It does work in Chrome and that is the browser I use most often.

No, no error message from FF. The tweak seems to be added but then when navigating within ADV the UI tweaks don't appear to be working. At least for me.

Wait, it works! My bad, my FF Browser pointed me to the old ADV. Lemme try the new one.

Yes, it works. Sorry about that. A "durrrrr" moment.

Will that UI tweak work on Waterfox too? I'm thinking it should since it's a Firefox product.

No error messages, just no action. I click on the button and nothing happens. I downloaded the newest version of FireFox, I need to shut down and install it.

Okay, got it. I had to go to your download site. I have something keeping it from installing from the Mozilla site. Your site asked me if I would allow it.
