I tried to reply to you on my phone, but every single time the ad popped up. And after it pops up, it doesn't let you tap anywhere on the screen. So I refreshed the page and continued the same cycle 4 more times before giving up and replying on my desktop.

Also I have no idea why the screenshot is so big :photog

I was searching for an Instant pot recipe on my phone earlier; almost every site had intrusive, auto play ads which obscured 1/3 of the screen.

    Brave New World, I guess...

Is there a spot to thumb through all the ads on Advrider? I saw something interesting as I hit the back button and of course it disappeared.

Having all ads available to look through would be a good sales pitch to advertisers. Why rely on what you think I want based on what I read?

    Yup
Adv used to be fine on mobile

Ads are ads, gotta pay the bills, but the constant pop up bullshit is infuriating.

you close it, and as soon as you scroll it pops up again

There are very effective ad blockers for both desktop and mobile browsers.

Sure, but I am ok with Advrider making a little add revenue off me. Keep the ads reasonable and I don't need to block them.

AdBlock Plus. It just utterly transforms Safari.

The new Oreo cookies and cream frame ad that freezes up my screen is just a whole new level of joy I never knew I had.

look, advrider, I’m fine with ads. But this is beginning to be a real load of crap. Get rid of these constant pop ups please.

thanks Andrew for telling us about AdBlock Plus. I just installed the app. I hope it helps.

I’ve been running that AdBlock Plus and it literally changed my Advrider experience. Haven’t seen a single pop up ad since I installed it. Thanks again, Andrew.

I have the exact same problem,,,
I installed the Adblocker plus as recommended,,,,
    It didn’t help at all.
It’s not the normal pop ups that are the issue
It the full page ads that causes the problem.

Purely out of curiosity, is there any reason you didn't simply hit Reply or +Quote rather than (( copy/paste )) ?

I'll jump in with a request that Conversations be searchable.
I mentioned this in the What Works? thread, but I don't recall a response.

Having a problem with the ads that take over all sides of the screen. After they appear I have to reload the page before you can click/tap on anything. Not surprisingly, they quite often re-appear after reloading the page.

While not stopping actual function. The large pop ups from the bottom of screen combined with the large ads in middle of post make the mobile version about unreadable…

Would like to note that after the initial ad roll out disaster you all did a great job of responding to all the issues and complaints. Huge props for that. It was the end of ADVrider for me until it got straightened out. But it’s slowly creeping back to unusable with the latest round of pop-ups.

Another option instead of an adblocker is switching to the Duckduckgo mobile browser. I have been using it for a couple weeks now and like it.

And you’re not using an ad blocker, why?
