Fox River Valley Area Tag-O-Rama (WI)

I took a look on ye olde Google earlier as well, the Street View for that general area is from, IIRC, 2009 so it was prior to that heritage area being official.

I use street view a lot at work to check out locations where buildings are being renovated or built new. Helps to see the lots, general area, facing and surrounding buildings, etc. Downside is like what happened yesterday where the street view is old enough that you show up to look at a building and it's not what you saw online!

Im 9 weeks post opp left ACL. Got a bit sore sitting that long on the bike, but not bad. Have 2 tags in resurve, but going to try to find something else on the way home.

New:
Took a nice ride through Kettle Moraine state forest area, then just country roads north. Didn't come up with anything interesting, so just going with one of the 2 I snapped last weekend. Tag with bike, and a closer one to see the plaque writing.

Bump for location.

Finally made it back from CO and was surprised to see this one still here. They were taking down all the banners from the Burger days when I was rolling through.

Learned me some history with this one.

I had the last tag, but this is just too easy to grab any day of the week for me. Someone get this in the next week or its moving down river 8.5 miles to another history spot.

I'd go grab it, but I'm not going to have any opportunity to tag anything new.

I might have a chance Saturday.

8/30 edit: Windswept Shores Ln.

I recognized the spot immediately. I use to ride my 85 SP600 out there on the ice in the winter. Figured I'd give it week first, but now I see you added the location. There are breakwaters constructed of huge rocks on each side of the marina just East of there. One year the snow drifted on the back side of the rocks, then freezing rain, and cold again. You could actually drive up off the lake up the ice covered snow drift onto the rocks. This is the only pictures I have left. 1992?

Finally got back out for a quick ride tonight, knew the place and am surprised it was not updated yet.

Stopped at HighCliff area today to grab that old tag and I see Im a week late to the party.

Question now is, is the curent Tag Lambeau field, or the Neenah lighthouse yet?
