Fitted up my RTW luggage setup. Looks like it’s all gonna work with a little tweaking once packed. @Buckee is the man for hooking me up with that exhaust heat shield. I think that’s all it’s gonna need to keep from setting my stuff ablaze. Fuel line connectors on order for the tank. Ready to pack and ride after that.

Soon: Local-ish weekend test run of new parts and luggage system.

Later this year: Back to Bonneville for land speed racing and then wander around out west.

Sometime in the future: Around the world.

Any plans to go to the Gearhead Moto "No Name Adventure Rally" Memorial Day weekend? It's going to be at Kairos and they have tons of trails and fun ADV type skills for us to compete.

I've seen a few people interested in that. $175 seems a bit steep for two meals and tent camping. But I have been there and would go on an off weekend.

Not I, hadn’t heard of it. Already have plans that weekend. Not sure I’d wanna be around a bunch of people just yet either :hide

What’s up guys long time no talk . I’m looking to get back in the game in the near future ! As of now the search begins for a bike . I’m open to anything but am looking in the mid to small range mostly . If any of you have stuff laying around to possibly sell I’d take a gander . Ride safe -

Hey! Good to see ya back around. There was a pretty cheap DRZ400SM on Charlottesville CL the other day but it sold quick. There’s an XR650R (the bad ass 650) in the classifieds here. Out near Harrisonburg. Looking forward to seeing what you find!

So all the state OHV stuff is closed. Does anyone know about the seasonal roads in the GW? Still regular schedule or?

Struggling to make good route for a weekend camp trip with Taskers and Rocky Run out :(

Reading in other threads it sounds like roads are open but any camping, at least in a designated campsite, is likely still off. Not sure whether the commercial campgrounds have re-opened this week - anybody? I’ve wondered the same about WV/Monongahela.

I heard WV/Monoga. campgrounds are still closed but all the FS roads in GW are open, believe dispersed camping is allowed.

All National Forest recreation areas closed according to their website. Campgrounds, bathrooms etc.

I don’t plan on staying at any campgrounds though :D

We were up in the GWNF last week, all the regular roads were open but most of the dispersed campsites were vacant. IDK what Memorial weekend will look like though, may be jam packed with campers already staking their claims.
