I’d rag on the triple axle roughing it in to the campsite, but I’m sitting here on my ass so I’ll just wish I was there...

In other news, the always reliable Blue Suzi (DR650) rode out the other day, 3 miles and died with a loud backfire. She cranks & cranks, but won’t start - then I get stupid and drop her getting her down off the rescue truck. Miraculously, then she starts right up. So I ride her around the back 40 a bit then she dies and again won’t start. Try everything, then WTF I throw her on the ground - bitch (sorry honey) starts right up! Left side both times. Has to be fuel flow - pull & clean the carb?
Yes the fuel was on, half full tank, tried cracking the cap & all the normal stuff. Don’t want to ride with you f’ers next time having to crash every half mile just to keep up.

Although that’s not far off my usual form...

    Suggestions?

If you have a vacuum operated petcock, I’d make sure it’s working correctly first. After that I’d wait till it died again and tap the side of carb with a hammer and see if it’ll start. Albeit unusual, carb float needles can get stuck closed. I really doubt that’s it though, they seem to stay free once unstuck.

It’s probably easiest just to go buy a new bike. You’d look good on an orange one :nod

Forgot all about that one, never been my favorite. The drive to the one on 17 is worth it. And when feeling fancy, just a bit further to the new one up there. Haven’t hit the Waffle House since the ‘rona arrived....no wonder I feel so good :lol3

Welp, 2 week vacation, dragged truck camper and m/c trailer with the WR to Tennessee on Monday. Camping and riding. Except I started hacking on Wednesday morning. Felt like shit. Drove straight home. Hoping it ain’t COVID-19. I have next week off too, with original plans cancelled, if I am better by monday, I guess I’ll head to GWNF, or? If I am not better, guess I will be getting tested.
