I wanted to start this thread for members of Advrider to post items to give away for free to our fellow Adv'ers who are in the Military.

We all know what they are doing to keep this great country of ours safe and I think this would be a great way to show our appreciation.

    First a few guidelines....

Put in your post if shipping is included. If you feel you must charge shipping put in a reasonable fixed amount conus.

When the item has been claimed put that in a new post and go back and edit your original post saying the same.

And to the lucky recipients try to post a photo of yourself with the item you received as a thank you to the person that donated it.

That's it, keep it simple and clean!

Let me start this thread by giving away a near new HJC CL-15 full face helmet with helmet bag size M.

This is a spare helmet that came with a bike I bought a couple years ago and it has been in storage ever since.

Only worn a couple of times, Liner is like new.

HELMET HAS BEEN GIVEN AWAY, NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Thanks to "bropher" for the insperation.

    I'm in!

I have lots of kids gear in many sizes. I know it's tough for meet to keep my kids outfitted, and I sure as hell would have had a hard time with my .mil check when I was in.

    All sizes in kids sizes
    Boots sizes 2-8
    Helmets sizes XS - L
    chest protectors S-L
Pants, Jerseys Gloves: Several sets in sizes 8T - 14
    2 Neck nuts
    Goggles: lots of pairs

So any .mil types that need kids gear shoot me over what you need and the sizes. I will let you know what I have, then if you want it you pay shipping and it will be yours.

    :clap Great idea.

My little brother returns from Afghufuckistan in two weeks. He has been there since October and until two weeks ago had not had a shower since November! As soon as he returns I will be presenting him with his ATK 260LQ that I completly rebuilt for him while he was away. He is stationed at Twenty Nine Palms CA with the US Marines 3/4. So lots of ridding for him around that area.

This is a cool idea Fish:thumb

I can agree that it's tough trying to get by on what they pay you at times, I served from '87 to '96 so I know what it's like.

Let me look around and see what I have laying around....:beer

    Great idea and thread.

Just ran across a pair of waist size 28 MX pants that my son outgrew years ago. Excellent condition, Thor brand in white/blue/black. If you're active duty U.S. military and can use them for one of your kids (or, somehow, for yourself :D ), shoot me a PM and I'll ship them at no cost to you in CONUS.

Semper Fi, and thanks for your service.

    Good thinking Fish!

Got a pair of large, Aerostich '3-Season Vegan' gloves I'll put up.
    http://www.aerostich.com/3-season-vegan.html

I've only worn them a couple of times and they are in great shape...with the exception of the squeegee-dectomy that I performed on them so I could move my left thumb (read the reviews of the glove and it'll make sense).

Nothing wrong with the gloves, I just wanted a little more grip on the palms than these had so I fixed up an old leather pair instead.

Nice warm weather gloves, breathe well and seem like they would be perfect for a hot climate and still offer protection.

    Thanks for your service.

After your posting I mis-read in the right column on Gear and thought the latest thread was:

"Free Gunz to Active Military Thread"

    I'd support that!
