I'm in if I can bring my 2 boys. My wife is flying out on Sunday.

I can bring whatever and a bunch of lies from my trip to the Grand Canyon last week.

I can't even start a fire with a blow torch so I'm sitting out the competition.

    Kids are welcome,

but you have to watch out for them on the hot wood burning stove in the cabin and the open fire outside.

    My kids (6 & 10) and wife (26) will be arriving about 10:30 - 11 AM.

It looks like my wife and I are going to make it - - if we ride up it will be on the GS, so no thumper ride for me.

I consider it a victory when I flip the wall switch and flames appear in the gas stove - so I will not be joining in the Fire Comp, but I really look forward to spectating.

Oh yeah - we will bring peaches..........

I can't come but I make fire with flit and steal all the time. I have also used wood sticks. The trick is having good tinder. I can help on there as well.

    Freedom Toast then.

Everyone, I will be there regardless of rain, snow, or shine. Actually the cabin is really fun in the snow. Probably wouldn't do any riding if that is the case. If weather is bad, just cage it up and hang out. If we hang out too long we can break out the Tequila left over from May.

I'm looking forward to it, but I have to admit that after trying to make fire in my garage with NO SUCCESS I am a little bummed. Some smart guy has got to show me how.

If you need directions you can ask Steve.

Or you can meet me in Littleton for a 7:30 departure from 5210 S. Meade St. (mapquest it) and we'll ride up from there. I know the way and I'll have the coffee. And, yes, I'm bringing cream for the ladies.

Edit: Make that departure sometime between 7:30 and 8:00

The ealrier the better as I'm bringing the coffee

I was just up at the cabin getting some stuff ready.
The weather was sunny, blue sky and scattered clouds. There were light showers earlier.
The air was very clear and I could see the Divide and all the snow covered peaks. The snow starts at about 11,000 feet. It was not very cold, a blue jean jacket was enough.
